Does your idle switch engage? This caused mine to clog up the emissions tester on my last mot. They tried setting it up but was pointless with idle switch not engaging.
-
If memory serves me correctly from my last rebuild the answer is yes

Calling all those with SWG scuttle cover...........
owen g60 replied to keystarG60's topic in Exterior
That should do the job Jez. Maybe a coat or 2 of lacquer afterwards to protect it -
Petrol in the oil? Surely it can only be head gasket or piston rings. Compression test your engine if below about 6 bar on any of the cylinders I would go with piston rings. Do you get oil in your coolant or vice versa?

That belongs to a guy called ray. Ill try to dig out his number -
You need someone with a laser alignment set up not your normal tracking irons. Mine is pretty close to the floor and have never had an issue doing it.

May be worth a trip out if I get time to wash the car before hand -
I've done one before. I used a soldering iron to melt black zip ties on the hidden parts of any breaks to get the correct shape. Any cracks on the front can also be done like this if careful or use a plastic glue like you get for air fix models to bond it back together. Some light sanding may be needed to get it flush once cured.

Parasitic Drain (Radio drawing current when off)
owen g60 replied to b9085's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
How quickly does the battery drain? Do you have an uprated headlight loom? This was my issue... The ballast resistor hadn't been disconnected when it was fitted causing the battery to go flat in 2-3 days of not being used. -
Any news on these? Looking at building a second engine
-
Received the other day. Very well packed Cheers
-
No problems on the lights . Good to hear :) I love what you've done with the car. We will have a chat about boost levels the next time I'm around. In the mean time get the battery tray looked at... It's a bit sorry for itself.

My chip is back in at the moment due to a bad mapping session killing my other ecu.

That makes 2 of us. After several emissions tests managed to get mine through

Ill bring my Bentley manual that may shed some light on how it fits
-
Rams. Ill sort your lights if you want. May have a few bits off you if I find anything I need.

For the time and effort it takes to try and make a mk2 or mk3 one fit its easier to get a SWG fibreglass one. Venom Motorsport usually have them at a good price.

I disturbed the routing of the cable itself when changing my head. Ended up feeding the cable and sheath back to the part where it enters the cabin via the scuttle. It was getting caught slightly, all now good after making sure everything was routed correctly. I would also check where it hooks onto the pedal as the rubber gland can work its way out

Going by etka, they are different parts. G60 and 1.8 kr engines use the same one but not 2l.
-
I'm in need of one no. Fried my other during mapping. You still got it?
-
Ddi dials are easy to fit. They come with an inverter that runs from a switched live
-
If you can get an estimate to bh17 that would be great.
-
That's a long way out for me :(
-
Where are you located?

Is that a delivered price?
