Gutted.. not sure thats quite a true story though - and the boot does seem a little strange to me but like Tig says it could have been down to the central locking getting buggered :?

I have both my C and company car - must admit there are times I wonder if it's worth keeping 2 cars (normally when it breaks or stops working) but the rest of the time I wouldn't get rid of it for the world and get very defensive if anyone suggests otherwise :D -

Car bra's were never designed to be left on the car permanently IMO... just put it on for nice days when you want to go for a blast in the knowledge that your leading edges will remain chip free... other than that leave it open to the elements! Like gradeA says they are probably more useable in areas where the weather is good :?

My drivers door is the same as this too... design fault? It hadn't crossed my mind to replace the rubber though tbh... I was just going to remove the rubber and bend the mount in slightly to see if I could reduce the gap! Let us know how you get on :D

Tisw true... there have been several threads on 'fixing' the broken amplifier wires which will probably be fairly easy to find with a quick search... or you could PM gradeA as he's recently done this (I think) Can't be any more help though I'm afraid as my reception is spot on :oops:

That’s bad news mate... how did they manage to damage the base? I know someone on here was looking at getting a replacement from Mapplins - don't know how successful that was though :? Otherwise there's always a few C's being broken in the 'parts for sale' section so you may find a good second hand one in there... Remember that the original was amplified so if you get one that isn't or the wires have broken the radio signal will be naff!
