  1. ah yes, the toxic bird buttjuice! what the hell thad they been eating?! did your microfibre cloth dissolve away?[/quote:2haig58f] ........... I forgot. It's still in the boot :pukeright: :pukeright:
  2. It just wasn't your day Kris. Firstly the bird sh!t and then this. How did the othe Corrado fair? It must have been one of two people :norty: :norty:
  3. Most VW items are standard metric threads, so it's just a case of measuring up :)
  4. Nyloc nuts will melt if used on manifolds! Try this place http://www.stainlessmiddleton.co.uk/ I ordered some stuff for my Golf and they were delivered within 24 hours. Buying stainless works out only slightly less than OE, but it looks so much better.
  5. Slightly OT but I spotted you on the roundabout at the top of Commercial Rd this morning. I have a complete moonroof, motor and loom available for £80 if you get stuck. Cheers for the offer re: the moonroof. I'll get back to you on that if I decide to take that route. Re: being spotted, were you in your C? I'm normally on the look-out but didn't notice you. No worries. I was in the Polo GTI. The Corrado is wrapped up for the winter :)

  7. I beliEve so. If you replace the lifters and other misc parts which have worn it will cost well in excess of £110 IIRC.
  8. That registration nearly looked familiar... viewtopic.php?f=11&t=46820&hilit=goldie
  9. It will be expensive, last time I checked with VW they quoted £600+. You can do most of the work yourself by removing the entire sunroof unit and paying for someone to do the tricky part. I did the whole job myself and it's really not as bad as it sounds, plus you have the satisfaction when it fully works afterwards. You could also fit a Passat moonroof to save you the trouble. I have one if you are intersted? It's some time since I did mine but I am fairly local if you get stuck.

    BBS RXII's

Make sure you buy a couple of sets of spline bits as they do round off quite easily. If you happen to break or round off any of the bolts there's a guy on the Polo forum who has some spares.

  12. I've recently fitted these on my Polo. Got to say I'm very pleased from what I have experienced so far.
  13. Just been quoted £150 for a Golf Mk2 roof front roof pillars and to repair slight rust and paint the scuttle. Your quote seems a bit steep.
  14. Better looking than the fat arse Scirocco :gag:
  15. There's a set of 1995 Passat rears with mechs at my local scrappy if anyone wants some. Not sure on the price though.
  16. I used to have this problem with my 16V. Copious amounts of boiling water on the caliper used to do the trick, however you will get the same problem once the temp drops again.
  17. Not that I've ever seen any on a Corrado but I be there are some with neon lighting :nono:
  18.[/quote:2et984l6] that's because the old stock has been exhausted :brickwall:
  19. I asked too: Hello Martin At the moment there are no plans to be doing this exhaust, but further down the line who knows, but nothing in the pipeline at the moment Regards Dan
  20. You can get them repaired, but they will never be as perfect as when they left the factory. I have used BJV for some BBS wheels which had some very bad flat spots. They were good enough to get through the MOT and balanced up OK despite still being a little distorted after the refurb.
  21. ............and a set of Irwin bolt removers :)
  22. I have used an Optimate for the past 5 years with no issues :)
