Storm Grey Corrados are nearly as common as Storms :bomb:
-
Thanks for the info. Decision made I think I know where I'm going.
-
Their results look good. Bit far for me tho'
-
Has anyone used these guys? http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/index.htm Their work and prices look good.
-
Did you replace the rollers? Mine were oval when I took them out. Failing that I'm stumpted :?
-
Have you tried to keep opening and closing it manually to see if it loosens up? Also try to operate it without the headling to the sunroof as that may be causing it to bind.
-
I had a similar problem with mine when I replaced the cables. I tried the sunroof motor from my other Corrado and it now works spot on. If the motor is on it's way out tou can hear it trip out when the load gets too much, and if you leave it for a couple of seconds it will move the sunroof a little further before tripping again.

Try using some kettle descaler for the washer bottle, one which is suitable for plastic kettles then use a bottle brush to remove any remaining marks. Make sure it gets well rinsed afterwards. Nice work BTW.
-
I'll go and haggle me some discount then!
-
My under bonnet sponge has gone into self destruct. Has any one got a spare set or know if they are still avialable from the stealers?
-
There isn't a sensor in there that actually counts revs. The rev counter is connected to the hall-sensor, hence it will see either 4 or 6 pulses per revolution. So yes, it does matter wether you mount a 4-cil or a 6-cil cluster... Thanks :)

I have fitted a K&N panel filter in my VR, there is a little more howl than std, couldn't tell much difference in the way of performance though.
-
Are the instruments (clocks) from VR's and other Corrados of the same year interchangable? Thanks
-
It seems to be a bit of a lottery if you chose to use them. I have had mine on for the past 5 months and have passed loads of Police cars and have not been pulled over. I hope I haven't tempted fate.

Dubmeister were selling via ebay at £25 a pair. They listed them just after I paid £45!. May be worth a look or asking if they can do that price again. Great service too.

Is there a knack to taking the end caps off the aero blades?. I had a go earlier and got nowhere.

I remember seeing it in Ryde a couple of years ago and it wasn't looking good then :( -

Was this on the IOW? -
I've just had one of these delivered: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TEK-POL-Professio ... dZViewItem Excellent bit of kit came with polish and all you need to get going. I've done the rear 1/4 panel and the results are very impressive plus no more aching arms :D

Mate, Gutted for you. I have had a couple of break ins myself so know how you feel.
-
That's what I can recall when I looked into getting one. The price from VAG is unbelievale I think I was quoted around £800 fitted
-
If it's a VAG one the answer is yes. With some of the pattern types you don't need to do any bumper mods.
-
The euro car parts ones are OK, mine has been on for a few years with no problems. The one which was supplied looked identical to the OE one and was £95.
-
that's the one that you have to access through the hole in the slam panel. Mine is shot and I cannot figure how to get it out :?
