Yea thanx driver and dave! I don't mean to sound like a know it all! (because I'm not :))! I read a bit on the nets about someone using it for a crank seal on a v6 toyota and working a treat! so tbh i just assumed! But what you say makes sence to me! I'll probably just leave it for now and see how it goes! Thanx for the advice Ben

What's the worst that could happen ? I get what your saying but if I can solve the problem now ,while it's only small, with little effort, then why not! Has any1 experienced/ used it before?

I've read mixed reviews for the Lucas product but other more expensive brands have pretty good things written about them! I won't have the money to get this fixed for a long time so just wondering if any1 has used it on a VR before with a happy ending! Lol

My dads mate recommended trying some additive in with the oil to help slow down/stop leaks! Wynns and Lucas do it, aswell as some more specialist companies. I've had a look on eBay and can pick it up for about £10 a bottle. It's supposed to expand the existing seal so it seals better! Ebay Item no. 280878550722 Anyone used this before? The leak isn't that bad(only a few drops after its upto heat), I'm not that worried about it atm but don't want it to get any worse! Ive heard people saying it works but only for 600-700 miles. The only reason I'm looking for a simple/cheap fix is that I'm totally skint for the next month or two. Cheers Benje

Deffo say they never arrived!! Even if they were ok when he sent them... There not now! If your packin rims you should do it properly! My mrs got a set of them lenso bbs rep things sent from a guy off eBay, they came wrapped together in 2s with nothing In between the rims! And the wrap wasn't even tight! Thankfully they wernt that bad but pi**es me right off when stuff like this happens.

Hey if it's this .. It's the PCV pipe! I've recently found out what this does lol. Iirc it allows unburnt gases back into the engine to be used again.(correct if wrong :)) mine was leaking a bit of oil but I just taped it up and "repaired" it! Don't think they're available from the dealer anymore, well not in my area anyway :( Ben

Yea that's all parts from Vw(or same quality). Tbh I was thinking about buying all the parts myself and doin it with me dad. But the parts prices alone add up to quite a bit, aswell as not having the time to do it all! From the things I've heard about stealth (not just off this forum) I'm more than happy for them to have it for a few days. The only other place would be DGautotech! I got my first C from up there and just couldn't believe the amount of Corrados being seen too! Must know what they're doing...
