  1. for the sake of half adozen more bolts some wireing plugs and a bit of coolant lose its easier to take the engine&box out together,it save a lot of p*ssing about on your back and its quicker,but what henny said is the best way to do it now.

  3. have a look at demon tweeks for the springs,i pretty sure youcan only get lowering spring caps for the front

  5. theres nothing you can do about it mate Eibach only make one set of spings for the whole range inclueding the VR6,mines a 20vt and ive had the Eibach and koni set up on for a couple of weeks and its getting lower at the back,ive also got the lowering spring caps on the front and there is 25mm difference front to back and ive got the rear shocks on the top settings :( . do what im doing and send them back and order some H&R's get mine tomorrow 8)
  6. well ive just trimed my front one all the way round by holding it in a vice and cut it with a hacksaw carefully then just sanded the edges,when you cut it make sure you have the back of the plate facing you this way you dont pull the backing off at the edges 8)
  7. dont buy the Eibach springs i'm in the process of sending mine back and ordered some H&R's,not that the ride is bad with the Eibach's its just the car wont sit level 25mm lower at the rear and you cant do anything about it apart from making some spacers for the rear spring platforms,and thats £425 plus vat,at venom its £425 inclueding vat
  8. does anybody know anything about them,cant get the ride hight right on the c with eibach but jamex offer a 60mm front drop&40mm rear drop this would solve my problem,hopfully

    they wernt bad not brand new like but not bad enough to replace its the top rubber bearing ive ordered.according to the part numbers the springs are right but somethings wrong somewhere.daves16v, if the standard ride hight is 360mm then the rear spings are right they have droped the car to 320mm even onthe top seting on the shocks yet it has only droped the front by 15mm and ive got lowering sring caps on which lower the car by 15mm anyway,the guy at venom said it could be that the 20vengine isnt as heavy as the G60 but i dout this is the case :? . can somebody measure there car so i can compere it :?: cheers

    jedi-knight83, 2inch the shocker must be coming through in to the boot,but no i didnt put new topmounts on still waiting for them didnt get koni springs cos the guy at venom told me they were a bit stiffer which i didnt want but listening to you guy this doesnt seem to be the case :?

    right just fitted a set to my c,put the rear ones on the top seting and the car still looks to be sitting down at the backand ive got sring lowering caps on the front :? useing eibach springs cos i couldnt get h&r in time. done some measurments front is 345mm from centre of wheel to arch and the back is 320mm :? any sugestions
  14. vw part no is 535 823 531 they call it a bonet lock cable. 8)
  15. also for all its bad points i dont think its bad when you can pull it in to an audi dealer park it next to a £50k RS4 and have all the mechanics and sales people and customers looking at the corrado 8)

  17. took a bit of doing to get it so smooth,i also cut two big slots in the steel bumper bar behind the plastic outer,the intercooler sits directly behind the vent :)
  18. gpc dont do the rear ones because there no longer avalible,i wanted a full set for mine but could only get the doors and front ones :( ,cleaned the back ones up and they dont look bad 8)
  19. Supercharged, did you have to buy new seals cos i thought they had to be cut out which knackered them

    ive just put some 299's on my c and i have to say asmuch as i like them man there heavy it aint half taken some of the acceleration away :(
  21. the 3m tape is a good product,i used it on mine didnt get a drop of paint on the seals but it is expensive at£20 a roll but worth it,you can allso pull the seal back and stuff some thick gauge wire in and this holds the seal off pretty well thats how the old skool of painters do it(so i'm told anyway :) )
