nope the red and yellow wires are the right way its the live with ignition on the car thats the problem :?:

right just wired a new head unit in to the wifes golf and i've got a slight problem in that when you put the key to the second position i have 12volt but when you start the car i dont,now i know this is supposed to happen but it doesnt come back,i've got the perminent live constantly but not the live with ignition :?

cant see the point in just rear wheel drive because your going to have to do all the same work as you would to make it 4x4 because all the work is at the back end anyway unless your useing the 02m gearbox but if your not you dont even touch the front end.

sorry to here that mate,it hapened to my mate a couple of years ago ,out night befor left car in town and went back the following afternoon to pick it up only to be stoped on his way home and bang 18 month ban £600 fine and then had to sell his c because he couldnt afford to insure it when he got his licence back because his premium had trippled to £3300 :mad: ,hope you fare better than this though 8)

its a shame you cant still buy the crossmember because i'm going to have to brake a mint golf syncro just for it :roll: ,mind i did only pay £250 for it and most of the bits are presold so i've got my money back :)

Think you'd be best swapping the whole dash. The dials are larger than C dials and sit in a large pod on top of the dash. Nothings impossible but reckon boxster dash would be a piece of pi55 to swop over.[/quote:36aa4]is that a hint of something to come there lee 8)

that boot floor you got there phat aint the last one as i bought one from my local dealers a month ago alonng with all the other panels apart from the crossmember because as far as there conserned this is the only bit that is dicontinued. so are you running the vr6 syncro running gear or the haldex?

i think you will find that the number plate recess has been cut out of a complete tailgate rather than a plate you can buy seperate.

see if you can get some etch primer as this will stick a lot better to the ally

any 2k paint should be up to the job,i use it to paint brake calipers and its never come off and it is stable will oil and petrol.

i've got 45's on mine and the little difference in the tyres makes a big difference to the ride,45's are much better,as for the speedo it shouldnt affect it that much with the 40's on and not at all with the 45's :wink:

if you decide to by one done be carefull cos some that i've seen looked liked the engines were just chucked in :cry:

the piston should never realy siez as it doesnt come into contact with any other metal,but yes you can just go and by a seal kit there easy to do just done all the ones on the missus golf 8)

same here mate i allways get better consumption useing optimax than any other brand even the bp ultima is sh*te :)

never had any problems myself but the early ones are known to fail,vw never did a recall because it isnt a safety issue but were replacing them foc on cars that they failed on :roll:

skimask, 2bar mate its a hvlp gun i'm using young dub, thats just made my mind up to colour code the side trims now,nit sure about the white leather though with three kids :lol: -

here it is then all painted just a few bit sort out and then on with the rebuild -
are you runing windows xp cos if you are it will not work i tryed every thing,try windows 98 this is what i use and dont have any trouble at all

passat ones usually go pretty cheap £500/600 because you nead so much other stuff to fit them in a corrado/golf as they are not mounted transversely(spelling) so they take a little bit mor fiddleing with :roll: :)
