    respect to you mate a fantastic job,this is one of those car that i really appreciate because the owner has done all the work himself and not been affraid to try something different :D 8) 8) .

    do exactly as the man says,this happend to my dad years ago and he didnt report it he just replaced the plates,turns out 4months after my dad had sold the car that the theif's had put them on a simular car and used it in a bank job and how did we find this out ,because the police came knocking at our door,lucky for my dad that he had sold the car befor the bank job and he was out of the country when it happend.

    if you intend on looking at the guages while driving i would suggest you do what i did and put them where the radio is and put the radio where the ashtray was.

    no its a 1.8 mate ive never heard as many people say so many good things about the 20vt engine in one thread before,it normaly gets a slaging for having no character :? and yes do it mate you wont regret it. :D

    i used a 1.3ltr carb golf one but every body uses different ones :)

    i have the keskin kt4's in the 7.5'',16 and they are fine,if i was you mate go with the 16'' with 45 tyres on and the ride will be far far better than 17'' with 40 tyres thats why i sold my 17's

    well to start mate i bough mine befor the 225 20v's were out so it's only the 150 version which is only good for 210ish bhp,the 225 should be good for around 270 bhp but to be honest i havent bothered changing mine because i struggle to get plenty of grip with what i've got.as for it costing me £4000 it was probably a lot cheaper as inclueding buying the car it cost me £6000 thats inclueding new radio,amp,suspension,exhaust,rear calipers and verious other bits and bobs

    i was looking at that myself for another little project but at that price i'de want the loom,clocks,key and ecu all in with that price.

    yep it's t&t till the end of may, i did buy it to break it but thinking about it i'm going to keep it till i've done the 4motion on the corrado then i've got a run about when it's off the road.

    went to the breakers today to have a scan for some parts and ended comeing home with this,1990 8v gti with bbs's electric windows tidy trim 2 brand new rear calipers and disc's brand new battery,all in all i didnt think it was a bad buy for £150,ok it needs a bit of attention in places like a new rear box,front o/s plastic wheel arch and the tail gate has some rust and a good service apart from this it's a solid car :D

    know idea mate just rang vince at stealth told him my problem and he said you need this and this so of i went bougth 2 gears and fitted them yesterday :D.he did say something about it been a .8something and now it's a .7something 5th gear :?

    well i'm currently runing the O2J box which came from a 99 golf with the agu engine,i know im running the 20V and 16'' rims but i've just put a longer 5th gear in mine due to the engine doing like 4500rpm's at 80mph it's now doing about 800rpm less and a lot nicer to drive on the motorway's.

    coxylaad wroteand let me tell you, trying to measure how long your driveshafts need to be is a proper laugh but are you going to tell us what lenght they are because your such a nice chappy :D :D and it would save us a lot of messing about :wink:

    sorry i cant help you mate but maybe you could help me??,i've got the red background on my lcd sceens but the numbers are stiil black,so my ? to you is how did you get your red numbers as well as the background. looks very good mate :)

    my wife took this photo of my son just after he'd tryed to put some go faster stripes down the side of the c with his screwdriver :mad: ,stoped him just in time though :D .this is him inspecting the wheels. :D
