  1. try http://www.lma-group.com ,thats where i got my addapter from for my gauge, think it was only a couple of pounds and didnt take 10mins to fit.
  2. CoxyLaad, dont forget to take them pliers out :)
  3. very good work there paul looks good :D ,so why do you have to reprofile the chassis leg??,is it because the fuel tank sits higher up.
  4. no they arnt the same allthough they look exactly the same, the 20v ones have a long allen bolt down the middle and the g60 ones have a snap ring on them, there not cheap either (£60-£70 )but in my oppinion there beter than useing the g60 box which has sh*te gear ratio's. i'll see if i can find my invoice out and give you the correct part number cos there is about 10 different ones 8) and the stealers dont have a clue.
  5. what a load of sh*te,if its drained the battery that much then how come it turns over.
  6. i think the callipers are from the ibiza cupra not the leon mate, thats what i've got anyway and they are the 305mm discs 8)
  7. just use the 20v box and change the drive shaft output for 100mm ones. i ran the G60 radiator for a while but found it got a little bit hot to quickly so i changed this for the VR6 one. just use the 20v power steering pump all you have to do is swap one of the fitting over from the G60 one. and as most people have said the bugget never stays at what you set it at cos there are other cost that you never acount for like 20vee t said the are all sorts of nut bolts clips that all add up at the end of the day. if you have the mechanical know how and can weld then yes you can save a shed load of money but remember it has to look good as well dont just chuck it all at the car like sime people do just to say theyve got a 20v turbo under the bonnet  :D 8)
  8. are the excentric bushes that vw make no good to get rid of this excessive camber??
  9. even if the glowplugs were shagged it would still start just take s a bit longer, maybe something to do with the stop soleniod not working correctly cos this would'nt let it start, also could be the factory immobilizer mates just had to have his changed on a 53 plate saxo.
  10. they say grass doesnt grow on a busy road
  11. anything realy but if i could get them i liked the cortina's because they weren' t to heavy but could take a good hammering.i loved it when i did it but i dont thing i would have the balls for it now especialy the figure of 8 race's
  12. just looking through some old pics last night and though i'de share some with you from when i used to do banger racing :)
  13. it was mate and yes i know what you mean about his prices i think he's realized about the amount of people out there after these engine's ,i spoke to them the other day and he wanted £1500 just for the engine ecu and loom.
  14. £1400 at the local breaker's but it was three years ago before they became a popular conversion.
  15. just got a new printer scanner thing so i thought i'd put up a couple of pics of the golf that my engine came from, and before i'd biult my garage, had to biuld it round it once it had been droped off
  16. now sorted new ignition switch cheers for the help guys 8)
  17. just inverted the colours and now i've got a yellow one cool 8)
  18. ive sean anugget yellow one localy withthose same farrari badges on the wings  ,but that one looks quite good :)
  19. right think i've sorted it ,think its a dogy ignition switch because once the car has started and i hold the key foward like i'm trying to start it again i have 12volts but when i let go nothing, the key only move a tiny bit to get it to work so i think this could be my problem. i'm useing red/brown live with ignition red/white perm live cheers for the help 8)
  20. when i put the ignition to position 2 there's 12n volts assoon as i put it to position 3 were the dash lights come on there's nothing, when i start to crank the car there is 12 volt's but once it's started nothing again.the head unit is a kenwood mask one so it looks like i'll have to run another ignition feed or it wont fold back up when you switch the ignition off and the wife cant be trusted to turn it off every time if i put both the red and yellow wires to the perm live.
