  1. haha, WELL! FIRST week of driving, got t-boned @ 70mph ending in a rolled a mazda 323f in a ditch..... this was cause for course one, "young drivers awareness" Second time i was driving my boss's E200 and got caught on the phone, this was cause for course two, "phone awareness" Third time i was doing 37mph in a 30... this was cause for course three.... "speed awareness" haha i should see if i can get a loyalty card, or at least get nectar points or something!
  2. i think what kad is getting at is you should burn the children! this i agree with! that final then! fire is the key!
  3. Corrado's are ****! cost to much to look after/ maintain, buy a nice little clio! trust me, the whole "VW reliability" thing... its all bull! old boy in my village has a Citroen AX it looks like it sank with the titanic and got dragged out the ocean 20 years later, but that stilll runs, he said to me other day it never cost him a penny... so im thinking clio or AX... haha... (just lightening the mood) IMHO declare her of the road, if u have a garage, and get a old lil mk3 polo or sumit for few hundred slam it on some splits for a lil temp vw... and then get under the bonnet and have a go urself, will be a good little learning curve for you, and WHEN (not if) WHEN you finish you will feel a great sense of self accomplishment, and your general knowledge of the car will improve massively! as has been said, everyone of here would happily help u every step of the way :) and wendy, i never noticed any of this thread as harsh or unfair, untill your comment stated it as that, i though it was just a group of people sharing opinions. fair point though.
  4. will email you later today, and if its in good nik ill take it!
  5. Loving this thread mate, made a good read! hopefully ill have paintwork like yours soon, jealous of the finish on yours! keep up the good work bud! i do recommend a CDA of type though, look about abit though, because although everyone raves the bmc, and i know it is the nuts, there are quite a few manufactures that make Carbon fibre inductions now, the piper cross one intrigues me! also Ram Air.. pretty sure K&N do on now too! looking forward to seeing what u next got planned, wish i had the motivation you clearly show in this thread, problem with meis the weather just puts me of doing anything! car is constantly filth and it P*SSES me off!
  6. Front bumper? Drivers side fog? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!?
  7. i have done 3 of these courses, it used to be that my area were the only people that did it, and no matter were u are from u have to go to upper hayford base to do the course, might be others doing it now, im not sure, i did mine while at work, said had a meeting, it only last 2-3 hours when i did it, bassicaly you cant fail. u just sit there, sometimes its quite a laugh as now u get like wireless remotes to do the surveys they ask you, wel worth doing over getttin the points imo!
  8. think you missed something on the end of that?...................
  9. I cut the section of pipe out... haha :D my ways are a bit bizaare! ---------- Post added at 5:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:59 PM ---------- i gotta go under tonight to fit my new exhaust mounts so ill get u a picture :)
  10. what about there several guinea pigs?
  11. duno about the threads, i just cut mine of at the base where it joins on and welded it to the new downpipe.. imo easiest way (if you have a welder to hand)
  12. then eat there kitten? (assuming they have a kitten)
  13. no he said they lived with there parents. :bonk:
  14. in all seriousness a car cover might not be a bad shout! as the inpact of a ball kicked by a young child would struggle to dent the car, only worry would be it scuffing and scratching the paintwork.. a cover would therefore eliminated all of this? also stop them touching the paintwork? good call!
  15. i personally think my option was the best and most realistic one so far!
  16. Also subtly mention/bring up the option of paying cash, some may not, but some body shops love cash work, its a good turn over for them and if your getting a 3k job could save you 600-odd quid!
  17. Alright matey, guy on the forum has got THESE FOR SALE, allthough they are a different style to mine they are the same et and same j staggered, so would 100% fit perfect on your with 40mm spacer/adaptors, as mine do :) and not asking much atall!
  18. ALL YOU NEED, is a MASSIVE aggressive DOG, tied on a piece of rope witch only allows it a meter distance from the cars perimeter, then lots of BEAR traps, BIG mo-fucas.. like one that could easily chop them mid waist when the step on it, AND land mines... if you can get hold of them, hard to come bye on ebay... also trip wires tied to grenades, also a team of snipers (at least 5-7) (maybe 8 to be safe) on orders to kill on sight. then all you need is a force field, lazers maybe? yer that should do it! also you could create a trigger acted charge, so that once your car receives an impact of anything over say 10mph from any sphere shaped object, it triggers a bomb placed directly below there house, also sit down the children (hang them up bye there feet) and explain all of the procedures in place and there inevitable outcomes. if this does not work, then as a last last last resort, AND I MEAN LAST RESORT, contact CHUCK NORRIS and employ him as a 24h car security guard. Because NOTHING passes CHUCK NORRIS!
  19. Been running my own detailing company on the side for a couple of years now after wanting to take my hobby to the next level and "weather" its my car or a customers i have always used a high carnauba percentage hard wax on all the windows (normally DODO Juice), and always get great feedback from customers about how much better there wipers work now, and works a treat on my corrado too.
  20. this man speaks the truth! I vote you get it fixed though mate, i only paid 1.7k for mine and head gasket went within a couple of weeks, i used to opportunity and thought F it and took it to stealth and spent over 3k giving the whole engine a go over. never regretted it since! + breaking it alot more hassle than you think, if your anything like myself and spend money as soon as you have it, then its a terrible idea, you will end up getting 10er here, 15 pound there, 5er here.. and ull just spend it as you have it, when u finely do sell al the bits, u will have already Fooked away the money and will have no car or money... imo FIX IT! to many rados are ending up in bits spread out all over the country or in scrap yards...
  21. hmmm..... maybe it not... thing is.. u never know till u try... i personally solve things like this by process of elimination... no harm in giving it a go, let me know how u get on!
  22. DAM YOU VAG HAG! you beat me too it! found you a link that might help though mate HERE!
