Hi there, have a look at the Corrado Club of GB's Buying Guide Some very useful stuff in there - I found it very helpful when buying my VR6 a couple of months back, as well as the advice of the helpful chaps on here :) :) , most notably vr6storm Have a look as this thread HTH Chris.

Maybe the state of the Corrado is as a result of the spare doing over 50mph and then attempting a sharp left hander ... Chris.
-
Not if you have a high imepedance input to your home-made meter - something like a good old FET input stage ought to do it. Chris.
-
Wow! Better turn my monitor away from my Honda-driving mate sat right next to me foaming at the mouth then... Chris.
-
That's why I wasn't there, got the wrong day Chris.

I didn't make it to Gaydon on Sat., but my colleague sat right next to me here at work did. But, he was at the Honda meet, and regularly surfs the Honda Revolutions Forum - where there's a thread running "Aren't Corrados Dog Ugly?" - spurred by the two meets coinciding. My colleague reckons that the two groups kept their distance from one another on Sat. and this leads me to something else I've noticed, especially it seems on American websites, that there seems to be a certain animosity between the VW & Honda worlds... what's it all about? :? :? :? Chris.

D'oh D'oh and double D'oh.   OK, not short sighted, just prematurely senile... or most stooopid. And, you know, I re-read the whole thread again just before I posted... Chris. -

Very very very nice! :D :D :D But just what have you got under the rear Corrado badge? Can't quite make it out, is it a website address? Chris.
-
Mine go up with one touch, it's just that the touch has to be about 3.5 seconds long... :D Chris.

I partially learnt to drive in my dad's '84 XR4i.... ...and then nearly totalled it after I'd passed my test and borrowed it to impress the girlfriend... went a little bit sideways round a bend! Bloody sh1te handling, only any good in a straight line! Chris. -

Well, I'm feeling really old now - just turned 36 a few weeks ago! At 20 I had a Mk1 Ford Fiesta 1.1! Chris. -

Oooooh now you're getting me excited, that's my other hobby (apart from my Corrado...) I'm into Linux iptables/ipchains and have a smoothwall running at home on my adsl connection... 8) Don't even start me on VPNs/ipsec/pptp and all that.... I'll get my coat.....   -
Chuck, just sent you a PM with contact details for the guy at TVR who designed the keyless ignition/door release etc. on the chimera/cerbera at TVR. I met him a few years ago on a tour of the factory - he's a genuine approachable bloke so he might be able to help.... Chris.

I'm a Network Support Engineer working for Marconi. Voice/Telecomms/IP/SDH/ATM/Photonics you name it, we support it! Job is pooh, but the people I work with are sound and the money is OK! If the company survives that is... Chris. -
Wow - thanks! :) I can sleep sounder tonight! Chris.
-
No worries - I know they drive on the left in Japan, so was surprised when all the Corrados were lhd when really they should be rhd. :) Chris.
-
I thought that they drove on the left in Japan, but all the Corrados featured on my favourite Japanese Corrado nutter's site seem to be left hand drive? Did they just import euro or US spec. Corrados? These things trouble me at this time of the morning... :) :? Chris.
-
Just wait til I get my Nik Patel frosty film applied and paint the VR6 badge red... :D 8)  Only Kidddddin... Chris.
-
I have discovered: Part numbers for rhd manaul gearbox 2.9 VR6's up to chasis 50-R-017000 - 536 721 555 A chasis 50-S-003001 onwards - 536 721 555 E don't know the engine codes for the other Corrado variants but most cables are the same number with a different letter at the end, so I guess they can't be that different can they??? Chris.

And here's one I found earlier!!! Not sure what a dealer would charge, but this one's already at £26. Personally I bought one from Tesco, £6.49, and fits quite nicely in the armrest space. All in a small green zip up nylon bag. Chris. -
And the VR6 key.... on ebay Chris.
-
Wow. And the cost would be...??? Forum discount? Chris.

On my VR6, the centre caps on the standard alloys just say "speedline". Very nice they are too, but I wondered if there were any with a VW logo - possible ones from another VW model - that would fit. Anybody switched theirs already? Chris.
