    Tailored Mats

I've got these too, had them for nearly two years and can honestly say they are only partly worn considering I use my C daily. Very good value for money.
  2. CandyWhite16v, There seem to be alot of cold air feeds that have used the existing inlet (behind the headlight) and this results in the flexible pipe being squashed as it routes into the area behind the grill. I saw this as inefficient so decided to go with the side outlet. You have to remove the rubber o-ring that holds the box down and bend down the tab that the o-ring sits around. Don't worry the box doesn't move about. There isn't alot of height in the lower air box so you need to be choose the pipe size carefully if you intend coming out the side of the box. Getting the parts fabricated could be a problem if you don't have access to the facilities.
  3. At the point the flexible pipe meets the Ali pipe I've drilled about an 8mm hole at the bottom to help drain any water getting in.
  4. Improved the response but no more noise. I work in the fab industry so was able to get the tube from work and have a plate welded to it that had mounting holes that also blanked off the original inlet to the box. I also made a blanking plate so the box could be returned to standard. The flexible tube was given to me by a friend who was refurbing his caravan. He had some caravan ducting tube left over which is about £8 a metre. Best tube I've ever used, very flexible but stiff at the same time and also fire proof. Best thing about it was that it reduced from about a metre to about a 300mm whilst remaining flexible. Mine doesn't poke thru the front but sits just behind the gap between the slam panel and bumper. I was a little concerned about too much water getting in.
  5. I've done this, check out my personal gallery for pics. It took quite a bit of fabrication to get it out the side, I think the diameter of the Ali pipe is about 70mm.
  6. I agree that if you can stretch to it, then buy it and keep hold of the G60 until you've made up your mind. Jim, you can always sell it on, no harm done.
  7. Heardy, good stuff mate.......I'll be in touch soon.
  8. Only way to answer your question is to..................................drive them both.
  9. So I need to sell my valver quicker than I thought.
  10. Anyone? I'm willing to travel a little.
  11. Just cus it's less then £40 doesn't mean it's not a proper job. I was very happy with my £38 alignment and thought it was very good value for money. It's just a shame some places rip you off.
  12. My valver pulled away in 3rd
  13. Didn't they come off the production line that way
  14. I had this, turned out to be a nut come loose on the gearbox linkage..........reset, tighten, job done. I could only get 3rd or above.
  15. Can't agree more mate. I had 4 wheel laser alignment done at Nottingham Alignment services, took about 45 to 60 mins, cost £38 and I drove off very happy chappie. It'd almost be as cheap to drive to Notts to have it done.
  16. dinkus, cheers mate, that thread is nearly a year old so I'll see if I get any more replies.
