ok I'll check the battery connections and the relays.

Just got my VAG-COM cable this week off Ebay. Hooked it up tonight and have got this fault code - 00532 supply voltage B+ I've looked up the code and it says 'signal too low'. I cleared the error but it came back again. I think it may be down to the connector on the ABS unit. I cleaned it a few weeks back and it stayed off for about 2 miles then hit a big bump and the light came on. Had this happen few months previous. Ta Dave

ok, now I'm confused even more.........

Can someone else confirm that I can just tighten up the rear bearing. dr_mat, I'm not doubting you mate but a friend told me the rears are not adjustable.
-
The rear driver side was the only one with slight play. There wasn't any grinding or lumpiness in any wheel. I'll tighten up the rear wheel and see how it goes.

Finishing touches to do on the door plates. There are no alterations to door or lock mechanism.
-
..........but they are expensive if you pay to have them replaced and after spending £127 this week on the C, I can't afford to replace them all.

A few weeks back my wheel bearings started to hum and I've only just got round to fixing them but I'm having a problem finding the offending bearing. The noise gets louder as I speed up and can come on after turning a corner but I can't tell which wheel(s) are noisy. Jacked the car up today and spun the wheels - no noise evident. There was slight play in one rear wheel. Do you think this could be the problem and can I tighten up the hub to take up the play? I don't think it's the tyres as they were new about 7 months back and have never made a sound. I'm fairly sure it is the bearings as I've heard this noise before on previous cars. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave

CandyWhite16v, similar to mine, notice any improvement?

I did this on an Astra. Got all the bits to do it from the scrappie apart from the wiring, then had an alarm/stereo fitter hook up the electrics, cost about £30.

I've managed to balls up my chance of owning a Corrado...
daves16v replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
I wouldn't give up yet, keep trying, there are loads of insurance companies out there. Depends how bad you want a Corrado, it can be a pain in the bum reading off details as long as your arm every time you want a quote. -
Why................the content of the forum easily outweighs the Sprinter 8)

Jim, I've noticed that too. chobbs, very nice car. Why oh why did our cars ever leave the factory jacked up

My friendly local garage this morning diagnosed the problem to be a broken front engine mount. Will be fixed tomorrow morning.
-
Blue_Joe, If painted Black perhaps but would it be needed if painted body colour?
-
I think I may have a broken engine mount. I have a short video clip that should explain it but need someone to host it for me or can I add it as an attachment as per photo's. The engine shifts about 25mm and is catching the heatshield above the ex manifold (see pic). It's not a gradual shift but a quick sharp movement that can be felt in the clutch. I'm also getting some vibration/rattling from the engine, I guess this is related? Thanks Dave

Thoughts on this please. The plastic spacer that sits between the door and handle is removed and replaced with the plate. Thickness is 1.5mm. There is a small chamfer running round the outside edge to finish it off (not shown). It can be fitted without removing the handle. Comments on size would be good.

Reesy, you haven't mentioned insurance. At your age I'd get an insurance quote before you do anything else.
-
Ahh so that's why I can't reply to a PM. Reesy, you need to do the same.
