Bilstein PSS Coilovers (Previously H&R Coilovers)
daves16v replied to AmbisoniK's topic in Drivetrain
Just because I'm curious, are Konigsports part of the Koni range as in Koni-gsports or are they made by FK. Cheers D -
Most people pay around the 40 mark from VAG.
-
If it's any help, last year Vince at Stealth told me swapping the springs to H&R's would transform the ride and that they don't sell the kits cus the springs are crap.
-
Had my rears done recently. He quoted £55 labour perside for the fronts.
-
He only mentioned throttle response. What about pull thru the gears?
-
I too have the Koni kit but find them too hard.

You got serious bottle Jay........I'd never attempt anything so extreme, but then again I depend on my car for work. Nice one 8) -
I can confirm that the pins ARE in the correct positions. I bought the same one off ebay about 2 weeks back and mine works sweet. It keeps telling me I have a ABS fault  Did you run the port test procedure on the software? Try that but I think the Green light should come on without hooking up the Lappy.
-
..........aaarrrrggghhh, the friggin light has come back on. I've pulled the wires and relay holders down from behind the glove box for a closer inspection but they look ok. Relay 79 clicks when turning ignition on and then clicks again when the engine has fired up. Should the relay click the second time? Does this mean the ABS switches off after the engine has fired up? Could the ABS controller be at fault? 1 week left to MOT.............
-
What's this then? I've never come across such people in Halfords. Do they work for Halfords?
-
I always use Optimax in my valver and it does make a difference.
-
I like it, it does look more up-to-date with the front end but it's been discussed before and some do not like that front end.
-
Looks sweet, nice alloys too.
-
Ok I think I have found my ABS problem - well sort of. I knew I had a bad connection somewhere so I wiggled (non-technical  ) the cables at the back of the relays and surprise surprise the light went out. Turned engine on and off about 5 times and the light has stayed off :D I'm disappointed that I couldn't find the problem for sure and fix it. It may come back again some day. When it does I'll get my wiggling finger out  A quick thanks to all that gave advice. Cheers Dave

I had an email from a girl about door handles last week. She said she had just become a member of the forum but I haven't seen any posts from her.

I've got some Westwoods off my 95M. Still for sale BTW.

VW Corrado 16V, I posted a pair to the US a few months back, where are you?
-
That's impressive stuff mate but you can take it off the axle stands now  You got any pics of the throttle body?
-
The package you're talking about does not come with H&R springs, they are Vogtland springs.
-
Try these. Got mine from these people when I put 5mm spacers on. http://www.trackstore.co.uk/ Make sure you get the correct bolt seat - radius or taper.
-
I like em Jim, but are you so embarrased that you had to park in the corner of the car park
