PDF your members Gallery if such a thing?
daves16v replied to VWVW's topic in Site Comments and Questions
For me it doesn't display images or the whole thread, is there something else I should be aware of? -
I lost some VR noise when converting to OBD2 and I think that's about the only downside from my point of view. I've now installed a Carbonio intake so that should restore some part of it.
-
Cheers for the info.

What part is bigger on the OBD1? Is the fact that the throttle body is bigger the only difference? I can't image VW would create separate tooling just for 100cc, maybe yes if the engine was half the size but surely not for such a small percentage increase in engine size? Nice work on the adapter by the way.

Sorry Ron it's sold.
-
Phil, yep will do it later.

John, I can make one for you if you get stuck, just let me know. Dave

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
daves16v replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Sounds like your handle securing screw could be missing, hence the reason for the handle coming away. The screw is located at the end of the door, check this first. If the door will open when you pull the handle then the striker hasn't broken. -

Still for sale?

Exactly how I'm feeling now, it's been off the road and garaged for about 3 months and I'm itching to get back in it. Don't know how long I can hold off insuring and taxing it, I too usually wait till March/April time. I think I'll keep it road worthy all year round from now on.
-
Same to you John, I didn't get chance to meet you at CCGB Brooklands so will make the effort at the next gathering, maybe the National Day or AGM?
-
I was going to suggest I buy one for my Passat B5.5 (on my wanted list) which I think will fit but try it out on my VR first.
-
Thanks guys. Andy, not had the BMC experience so couldn't tell you but if we meet up sometime this year then we can both find out, you at the AGM or National Day next year?
-
Puts today's hour of work on my VR to shame  Good to see you're making progress Andy, will you be attending shows next year? I read about your rusty headlight screw, I can throw in some Stainless items when I do your BMC bracket if you like?

Events 2013 Corrado Club, get your name down
daves16v replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Yeah me too, couldn't make it last year so as it's a special year I'll be there. -
The Carbonio intake pipe holder didn't quite work out the way I'd intended, the pipe itself wasn't held anywhere near well enough. So I made another with a Stainless clamp welded to it which is then tightened around another piece of Blue Silicone hose.

Got my name down for a few, come on peeps it's going to be a lovely Summer..........I hope  -
Refitted my left and right under trays with Black shallow head interior self tappers which do a good job of being hidden when viewed from the outside. I used Stainless self tappers previously which stuck out like a sore thumb. Made another Carbonio pipe clamp/cover as the other one didn't hold it tight enough, this one has a Stainless hose clamp welded to it, very happy with this one.
