  1. I've got a good headlining in Light Grey if you need one.
  2. I've got a moonroof from an Ibiza Gti in my VR, it's a better fit than the Passat moonroof in my old valver, there's not a lot in it but the profile is closer.
  3. Look into the door panel opening and you'll see a small rounded shaped lever, press it down with your finger and the door will open, smear some grease on this. The end of the striker pushes against this lever.
  4. I picked up a couple of bottles of G13 at the weekend from TPS and asked if I could mix with the older stuff and was told yes.
  5. Was it ok when you first fitted it? Apply some grease to the end of the striker arm and also to the lever that it pushes against.
  6. Yep, no plans to stop doing them yet.
  7. Don't know, never had to do it. Anyone else answer this for Tim? PM replied to.
  8. I'm pretty sure you can't get the shifter box out from inside, happy to be corrected. The cables are bolted through the front of the box and unless you can get to them then you will need to drop the box out. I've also got spare cables, infact I've got so many you can have one for free + postage cost. ---------- Post added at 4:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:52 PM ---------- Just thinking about it, you may be able to get the cable out from underneath but leaving the box in place.
  9. You can adjust both cables at the gearbox and also the side to side adjustment at the gear lever. As said above you can replace the bushes but I'd try adjustment first. My short shifter install guide shows where to adjust, I can send you a copy if you drop me a PM with your email address.
  10. No probs matey. Let me worry about that, if you want a set I'll make sure you get the right ones.
  11. Sorry to say the door handle strikers are not supplied by myself.
  12. I guess they let air pressure out, I only noticed them a few years back when someone opened and closed the door when I was at the back of the car with the bumper off. If you hold the door open then shut it quickly but don't actually let the door touch the car you can actually hear it open and close if you listen carefully, well at least I could on my car.
  13. There are 2 flaps, 1 in each of the openings for the rear bumper to mount, these flip open when the door is closed, I would take the rear bumper off (4 bolts) and check these are not jammed shut. With the bumper off look into the opening (1 each side), the flap is to the outer side of the car. Another thing might help is that if the door has worn hinges and is dropping then you need to bring the door back into line, I had this on mine and made a simple shim that sits between the bracket on the body and the bracket on the door but only on the top one. This will tilt the door back very slightly, the shim does need to be very thin though, around 0.3 to 0.4mm thick depending on the amount of wear.
  14. If I remember correctly I haven't sold any to G60 owners but they use 2x LH 16v brackets or 2x 16v RH brackets, can't remember which ones right now.
  15. The crappy plastic one is your problem, it needs to be fitted. I had to trim mine but can't remember how. Without it fitted you can see straight down into the fan inlet, I did post a pic a while back showing this.
  16. Do you have the gear shifter assembly inside the car (gear stick)? Where are you based?
  17. Yes I saw your PM but not had time to reply, will do it tomorrow.
  18. Al, I do remember you asking me sometime back and I said I had one and I would remove it but never got round to it. I've been seriously busy the last 6 months so my apologies. I can stick your name on it but I can't say when I can remove it.
  19. I think your first move is to drive both G60 and VR and then see how you feel about each. You'll make up your mind fairly quickly afterwards I suspect.
  20. Kev, can I have the seat release handles please.
