  1. if you need wheels. use audi tt comps. they fit straight over with loads of room.
  2. try not to mix methenol in with you washer water. as it will take the paint off when you clean your screen. the aqua mist kits run at high pressure 100psi and force water throu a hole 0.6 to 0.8 mm. depending on the jet size. its all quite accurate. the pump mists the water - deatomized. this maximises the surface area and thus cooling properties. if you just 'squirt' water in to the inlet it will cool to a degree and the water quantities are unknown and dropplet size to big. you could be doing more harm than good, in the longrun. i would reccomend water injection. i have used it for years. and althou it can have its moments with reliability with the pressure switches , the aquamist kits are excellent. i would. .. look out for second hand kits on ebay and such forums. and save and get a new kit. the thing to watch out for on secondhand kits is pump reliability. as the only alcohol you can use is methanol any other and it will damage the pump seals. when water injection kicks in the temp should drop a minimum of 15'c using the .6 jet. and 20 with the .8 when in let temps are 20'c. it will not go below zero. so on a cold day with air temps at say 5'c. and with the intercooler size you have. the water injection will not do much. but in the summer it is brillent. hope this help. and well done for making up the kit. if people don't try these things they wont get the under standings behind how they work. top chap.

    new charge cooler.

    i've been using chargecoolers for 4 year testing different types of rads. pumps and tanks. i now have a celica gt4 chargecooler pre rad. -designed for this use. a pump from demon tweeks 13 Lpm. £110. and the tank is my washer bottle. 4Litres . i used tank connectors-15mm in the bottom. if any one wants advise on chargecoolers and set ups contact me. i used to use modified air con rads but they don't loose the heat quick enough.
  4. i think the mk5 ones are to big in the hight plus the plastic end caps make it difficult to modifly and jabba's are too exspensive. and the sprinter are bit of a squeeze to fit. go vw and get a rally one or make one up. the ones on abay can fit. very common 600x300x76 are a bit too big. but the medium ones are 450x300x76 and cos they are all ali if its too high cut it down and reweld. ..

    new charge cooler.

    well it is for the engine needs. but it slows the air down throu the cooler. allowing the heat to tranfer to the water better. same princible to the intercooler. bigger area. slower air speed more heat transfer. my current chargecooler is from a lotus esprite turbo nicely polished and a perfect fit to the g60. i'm just tring the rs one. i have got a intercooler in the garage. but i'll need to take the bumper off and make it 'fit' the car. this is a easy fit.
  6. well not yet finished. but getting there. right. for d RS charge cooler, chopped the end off. these were only 50mm! got some some 3 inch pipe work. just going to get it all welded up. should hopefully flow enough. i've seen these run at over 300bhp with ease should cope with the g-lader heat. and 3 inch all the way from the charger to the throttle. plus water inj should be sweet
  7. ah ok. when i bought my tsr manifold it came with a 2 inch collector on it. wird. so before i fitted it i had it chopped off, then a 2.5 felxy on then the cat flange welded on. all good.

  10. i had a jetex stainless system which was brillient .untill i buggered it up. but it also ran 3 boxes. but the first box was a resenoic box. it looked like a standard tubluar box but look inside and it didn't have baffles. maybe your first box shouldn't be a baffled box so close to the engine. ? or just run a striaght 2.5 lenght in.? or it could be running lean. just a thought.
  11. ahh thats it. map and iat. on the polo its stuck on the side. if its running crappy and stalling unplug it . it will still run.

  13. ok so i picked one up cheap. opened it up.- yes it all splits down. and it looks really good inside. but the in/outlets are only 50mm. so i have choped those off. and i'm making up 3" pipes. . straight from the charger to the throttle body has any one else seen or used these coolers.? here are some facts focus using 20psi producing 300bhp ambient air temp 16'c inlet temp out 146 34 149 37 151 39 137 45 sorry no pics. camara broke.
  14. it is a maf and map sensor. sort of. and they do like to go wrong on polos
  15. no it will only ruin your mpg. and over boost at low revs. leave is best. i know. i sodded mine up by adjusting it. then i could only get 180 to a tank, and kept spinning the wheels at low revs.. do not adjust.
  16. i know it sound horrid. but some times it is just not worth repairing. get all the good bit off. sell everything you can to recoop some cash and put it towards a new corrado.. some beouch pulled out infront of me 3 years ago. insurance gave me 2k to fix- after they wanted to right me off. wing and a door.!! but if you've got a bent chassis. sorry. scrap it. it suck when things like this happen if it was on the motor way. ask the local police if they can find a highway video. good luck chap.
