has the boost return fallen off or been taken off,.

i think its just the barrel spring behind the lock. they burn out. but you have to smash the barrel lock off to get to it, can be replaced by a bolt thou. go to a car electrical place and ask them about it. when mine went nobody knew what it was, replaced all the ignition bits before going for the barrel mech it was a pain in the arse. the barrel mech are cheap thou.

all the tensioners line up. one is a std one and the other is a small 20v one from g-werks. either the alternator or the charger is not sitting straight.
-
blue joe. what are these adjustment. - yes running soild tensioner below that a 20v tensioner pulley and under the charger a std plastic pulley. looks like i may need to space the charger out at the top. but cant be right thou.these pullies are all made on cnc machines,

i think it is beautiful. really like the styling and the front end. and really dig the engineering involved, wounder what it'll make if it didn't have to meet emission regs. 1100 1150 bhp...? -
ha ha ha wounder if he'll throw it in with the car deal. may help the sale.
-
you should come down to leatherhead in surrey. hundreds of em. well a few. i thought they were v10 from the audi. as the quattroo systems. ?

ha ha, blooody hell thats mad. he must be going over a ton when doing that. love the way he does it on the 'public' roads.

400cfm should be more than enough for an 8v g60 engine, regardless of head . - std ported or cnc big valve.
-
jay, when did you sell. i wanted first dibs on your c. :(
-
yep i have. two in fact. a std vw m12 one and a long 60mm m12 one. but i think i had a cross threaded hub.

driving around in work time., saw one of those big car carring lorries. the ones which transport knakered cars to the scrap yards. and on top above the cab. a storm badged vr6 in mistic blue( i think) didn't get a chance to see if it was damaged or the interior. no number plate and couldn't see what company the carrier was . it was a sad moment.
-
ditto. same reason as me.

had you been eating spinach before you did it up... or was it made from cardboard.? -
the gti uses a different head, it has the the compression in the head. where as the g60's have the compression in the piston. ( i think thats right) the self porting head. i woundn't waste my time. it is an art. once you bought all the correct dies and compressors etc talking loads of cash. the 35mm exhaust valve can be bought from trs, they are expensive and can only be fitting by someone who knows how. the head will need machining. then a hardend valve seat presed in. then cut to fit the new valves. if you ask any one who's been porting heads. it takes years to master the art and even then it is impossible to get every port the same. they will all flow slightly different. the only way to get a decent porting is using the new cnc porting. this ensure the porting is exactly the same and give the most performance improvement. hence why g60 are making 250bhp now-a-days compaired to the 225. if you want to speak to a very good porter. try keith at rpm in kent. he did my head. and inc 35mm exhaust valves. i had photos of the work done. and i even have the head for sale... cost me over a grand once every thing is bought. valves, guides gaskets , labour . as for diy head porting. if you've got the tools and time. try it out. nothing to loose. but dont expect good results.

is it a g60.? if it is the fan run on stat is between the rocker cover and the inlet manifold. bolted onto the left hand bracket . it earths out to make the fan run on, if it has stuck on,. simply unplug it. but wrap it up with tape to stop it earthing out. i think its a brown wire.
