I started a computer systems engineering degree when I was 25. I know what you mean about feeling old, but I wouldn't have had the focus to get a first if I'd started earlier. If I found enough money not to have to work I'd do another degree at the drop of a hat. Something along the lines of what you're doing would be high in the running too.

I quite like it.

Anyone know the whereabouts of this hot totty?...

It doesn't look familiar. -
Black Corrado R32 4Motion DSG, Phase 1 done!

No pics of the engine bay? -
I wouldn't worry too much. I don't buy a car based on mileage, but on condition. There are plenty of other buyers out there that are the same. You have to look after a car to make it to 200k.

How do you fit 24" range rover wheels on a golf?

Words fail me. -
Weren't they a 2.7L twin-turbo? I won't pretend my knowledge of the Audi range is all that extensive. EDIT...beaten to it!

A Quick What are they worth.........280mm Set-up
bcstudent replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
I paid £70 for a complete set-up, including new discs and pads, about two years ago. That was very cheap at the time though. I'm sure they'd be worth £100 to someone. -
That totally sucks, but I think your obviously trusing-nature has cost you the 'plate and the £80. I can't see that this will end well.
-
There's no evidence of that being a public road. In fact it might not even be me. Point taken though :)

Mods better make space for a 'breaking' thread soon.

Can of worms = open.

The top one looks better to me, by a long way.

I know it's easy to say, but go easy on your old chap. I mean, sh*t happens and it's not like it was malicious damage. I remember some years ago my dad dropped a strimmer from the garage loft onto my brand new CBR600 and dented the tank. I'm sure your dad feels pretty bad about the whole thing. I hope you get it sorted with the minimum of grief.

Has got to be the best corrado video on youtube !! [NSFW]
bcstudent replied to CorradoRun's topic in General Car Chat
That sort of thing used to happen to me in my 16v all the time. I'm glad I sold that car...the constant female attention just got boring in the end :) -
Looking for reg no. 911 DPW (it's on a Corrado)
bcstudent replied to dwhatley's topic in General Car Chat
Considering the amount of time you've been looking for this plate, it'd be easier to change your name (or your car)! -
I reckon a 110 Defender with a 200TDI engine and a roof tent is the safest option...and probably the cheapest. My mate has had a few 101s and I certainly wouldn't want to travel *too* far in one.
-
Quite frankly, I don't believe a word of that. I'm fully prepared to be proven wrong with some evidence though. I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere.
-
I really can't see the point in having a 'performance' car and being bothered about fuel consumption. I spend more time seeing how *low* I can get the economy!
-
Uh hu....suuuure. I bet that's what he tells his mates in the pub too.

I'm losing the will to continue.......
bcstudent replied to skinnyman9000's topic in General Car Chat
If you want to think *complex* think Honda or Toyota. My Seat Leon Cupra costs me no more to run than my Corrado did, and it's got close to twice the power. Do you have a reference for that statement? I've heard people say it before, but I fear it's one of those things that gets told by mates in the pub. -
Maybe dark grey isn't the right colour. Silver may work better.
-
I agree - not a great look.
-
I bet that would be the most horrible thing imaginable to drive...but DAMN it looks good!
