£900 thats well cheap i think its much better buying a 2nd hand kit but i dont think people part with them that often.

Firstly which is the best supercharger for the VR from what i've heard its the Vortech, also roughly how much do these kits cost, and last i heard many people say that a vr needs to have the internals upgraded pistons etc before turbo-ing or supercharging is this right??? which one gives more brake horse the turbos or chargers. cheers dudes.....

kevhaywire, couldnt find no number by the pulleys but i did find the orange bar code on the rocker theres some german kak and then thers a code its either ASV or A5V definatly not ABV :(

Just wanted to know how do you tell the difference between the 2.8 or 2.9 i know the golf engine clearly shows 2.8 on top of the engine but i just went to view a golf and it had DOHC-VR6 on the top cover like corrado's do...........need to make sure i've got the right one in my car :roll:

Well dudes check this out, my first yr of owning a corrado VR6 and what did i pay 1360 TF&T and that was for only six mths :shock: :shock: :shock: .....its was the best deal i could find and i was 23 at the time

Just went for a spin in a mates s2 he claims its running at about 250bhp.......boy did i under estimate these cars i knew they are quick but blimey so much torque must be the turbo they use on that engine................anyone ever lined up with one??

I need to confirm somthing with you guys, see i got a mate who eats shits sleeps his car, and in winter when everyone makes sure their car has antifreeze, he completely fills the whole cooling system with antifreeze, he dont like the idea of ice cold water in the engine on icy nights, so thinks if its full with the stuff there will be minimal corrosion............is this just OTT???

Just changing my Pads on my VR and one of the pistons went back fairly easy the other wouldnt budge at all managed it in the end but am thinking its prob seized is there a refurb kit or anything for these ....wots the remedy

Spoke to C&R today and they do a kit for 200 quid in exchange for your old calipers, the guy i'm getting my calipers from is doing them for 80 a pair which is cheap!!.........C&R told me there are three types of golf mk4 caliper and only one works the one without a letter at the end of the part number.......................can anyone here shine some light on this. :roll:

i've seen this a few times on a corrado and wondered is just a case of bolting on the rear rallye suspension,transmission etc on the existing corrado mounts or do you end up welding brackets in to get the whole thing on.

Evenin all, i'm about to change my rear calipers for the mk4 ones and the breaker i spoke to told me that theres a difference between the golf petrol and the tdi rear calipers,.....firstly which ones do i need???..............second do i use the golf pads or will the corrado ones work........... oh and also my coil pack is on its way out ...GSF do one for 100 odd quid anyone used one of these are they reliable???

The front wheel of my VR catches a bit on the caliper. When you look at the caliper its the bit that is part of the carrier and curves in front of the caliper.........wot does this actually do as i was thinkin of using a dremel on it just to clear my wheel.
