PhatVR6, will the refitting of the rears seats be ok since the new floor pan is sat higher.

i've had the Aux water pump disconnected for a week now and one thing i noticed is the temp stays on half all the time should it not over heat a little

I have been offerd some outer rims for my BBS's the rims are from BBS two piece wheels, are the two compatible?

Just got some info from TSR on this conversion it dont seem like no diy job. Hi, we don't have any pics avalible at the moment although we are in the middle of doing a conversion into a mk3 Golf. You will have to get the motor fitted here as it requires major chassis mods and we also have to lengthen the front of the car. A ball park figure of doing this is going to be around 12-14 k. It would be a better idea to place the engine in the back making it 'mid' engined. This will make it better handling and give you better tracktion as it would be rear wheel drive. Obviously the draw back is you lose the cabin space in the car but, if you can put up with it, it would be a better idea. Cheers, Ross.

is 18k a year high for a car?........the history on my VR shows it did roughly this figure per annum for the first few years of its life.

As above what sort of mileage are you covering a year.................i barely did 500 miles last year.............car only came out on sunny days!!.

biggerbigben, what sort of budget do you think it can be done in?

Just bought a new sump for my VR, it came with a thin layer of black paint over it. Ive got some hammerite finish paint which is very hard wearing so i painted the outside lightly...........now i read the tin and its highly flammable..........do you think its still safe to put back on the engine?........i dont want it cathcing fire or owt.

Has this conversion been done yet in a corrado, with the permanent 4wd system i think it could be an awsome conversion if possible.your views guys?

My car only had part service history when i bought it. I just want to know are there any key areas the can give you an idea roughly the mileage the car has actually done i.e worn gearknob pedal rubbers things like that. My vr is showing 95k now and there is no wear on the pedal rubbers, the gearknob is mint the car has got cloth interior and the drivers side is mint no wear at all.........is there anything else that can give it away?

you cant but clips on their own........only with new c.v boots

I gave my brakes a refurb lately and also painted the front hubs by removing them from the car. I had to change a CV boot and decided i'd pack the otherside too with grease. Now during this whole task i managed to lose the clips that come with the cv and on ther other side i had ruined them by removal. So i used cable ties instead but they were very tight. Looked under my car other day and theres Grease all over the place all over the hubs and its same on both sides it seems to be coming from out of the boot.

As far as i knew the Dahlback golf had a audi 4.2 twin turbo engine in it...could be wrong though

Mercedes do not & will not use timing belts on any of their engines for the above reasons Blimey that is somthing new for today cheers Steve & Kev

Just wanted to know what are the benefits of having a chain as opposed to a belt, i mean when somone would mention timing chain the only thing that would come to mind is rattly fiestas so why has this system been used in the vr

Ford, Honestly no probs at all they went straight on, its a g60 with vr6 5 stud conversion.

My mates got tt comps on his car he has used standard bolts and all centre caps went on fine.

How do the r32's sound, i ve not heard one yet are they like the vr better or worse?, The vr with a decent exhaut and intake sounds superb what is it like comapred to that/ thanks

biggerbigben, I hope it isnt i've had my vr for over a year now and although ive not spent much on the engine i did consider a transplant for somthing that is low mileage and more powerful.......providing theres no major issues it sounds all good.

I just bought one from my local stealer, they did try to sell me the plastic one and told me tools are not for sale, but i told them that i had already broken two and another plastic one would only break again...........worked fine for me.!!

now this i cant wait to see when its finished............i heard so many people say its not possible to get a r32 in a corrado, how long you think till its finished?

PhatVR6, are you using a syncro engine or the r32 3.2?

what about panel wipe? will that be any good
