I paid £4k for mine. It has 70k on the clock. I've just had a full service done and had a few faults rectified. Next week it is booked in for a paint rectification, alloy refurbishment and new tyres. That will leave just a few minor interior trim repairs and then it should be like new. I'll get the detailers to take some befoe and after photos and get them loaded onto a galley here.

Unless you are looking for a project car, the usual advice is to buy the best you can afford. Whilst I have no evidence that a low mileage mint Corrado would sell for £5k to £6k, I believe there are people looking and willing to pay this level for a top quality car. Certainly if you have to factor in a respray, wheel refurbishment and rectifying previous owners bodges it may even be considered good value.

Anything less than £1000 is probably worth more in parts. TCS have a very nice green VR6 40k miles for just under £6,000.

Failure to send off the guarantee card will not affect your consumer rights. If they have only lasted 3k and I assume no more than a couple of years, take them back to the shop and ask for them to be replaced.

Kwik-Fit, they don't take care of alloy rims and the monkeys who work there can't even balance a wheel.

Done. Good luck with your venture.

4302 Corrados taxed or on a SORN. http://classics.honestjohn.co.uk/how-many-survived/volkswagen/corrado Honest John estimate that between 2007 and 2011 7% of all Corrados were lost every year. I guess the decline in numbers will bottom out as the remaining cars end up in enthusiasts hands. The How many left website makes fascinating reading. For example there are only 5700 Cortinas still registered in the UK against the millions that were sold.

Just booked 4 tickets. Thanks for the heads up Ben.

I would also like to that say that Chaos30e is a great seller. He arranged the courier for the parts and they arrived in a couple of days. Later he spotted my request for a small plastic clip and sent me the part FOC. Thanks for the great service. It is great being part of the Corrado community. I have yet to see another Corrado on the road. Yesterday an immaculate Golf MK1 passed by and gave a wave.

Just spotted that i have the same problem. The cable has broken near one of the hooks on the passenger seat and the hook is held up with a cable tie. Can anyone give me some advise on the replacement of the cable? Is it necessary to dismantle the seat back or this there a quick fix?

You may have to pay the agent commission when your tenant renews even if they are no longer managing the property for you. I would advise that you check the agreement to see the terms on which commission is payable.

Hi I am looking for the silver plastic engine cover for a 1995/6 VR6. Just the silver part and not black plastic cover that holds the HT leads. It must be in very good condition as I am looking to replace one with a crack in. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks Mark

anyone recommend anywhere to get numberplates?

I'm thinking about some pressed aluminium plates for my Raddo. A company called Framptons still produce them for pre 2001 cars. http://www.pl8s.co.uk/ReflectiveDuoPlate.html Apparently the letter size on pre 2001 is slightly larger and I don't think anyone makes these in the acrylic plates. -
I've been quoted £90 incl VAT and fitting for Conti Premium Contact 2 and £65 for Kumho KU31 by Lepsons of Gillingham. They are an excellent tyre shop that really take care of your wheels. I'm going to get them to refurbish the rims and put on new tyres soon.

Thanks Guys, When funds permit I may take it to an alarm specialist to enquire about an alternative system.

Sorry to drag up an old post. I have a Conlog Alarm fitted to my VR6. Everything seems to be working ok, but i am wondering whether it is possible to alter the settings? Currently as soon as the car's ignition is turned off the alarm system locks the car and the full closure system shuts all the windows and sunroof automatically. This is not a major problem, but I am sure one day I am going to get out of the car without taking the key with me. I have a small leaflet with my car's documents but no detailed instructions. Can anyone help?

Looks good to me

Hi All, Thanks for your offers of help, but I pleased to say that I have now sorted this part. A supplier who sold me some interior parts a couple of weeks ago has helped me out. It is only a small part but the alternative was bodging it with glue!

Just checked with TPS is Tunbridge Wells. They say these parts are obsolete.

Hi All, I am looking for the plastic clip that holds the drivers side (right rear) rubber roof rail in position. I believe the clip has a plastic insert that is missing on my car. My car is a 1995 model. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks

I have one that I purchased in error as it does not fit my 1995 leather interior. I believe it came out of a earlier car. if you think it will fit I will send you the measurements.
