  1. I might have one Rob, but mine of course is from a 16v, your's is a VR6 isn't Rob, I thought one of the brackets is different on the VR6 compared to 16v ?? Si
  2. Kane is on :onfire: Two good goals, GET IN  The passing at times was pants, and the game play was far too slow really. I think the referee of this match should go back to Spec savers, the things he missed :shocked!: But a win is a win. Talk about last minute though :brickwall: Si
  3. Come on England :drinking::bounce2:
  4. Yeah it does sound like the motor or switch. This happens I think on central locking motor's sometimes, when they're operating too often and get hot, the overload sensor kicks in and the central locking doesn't work for about 1 minute or so. Could well be that the motor has partially burnt out, like you say you could try a secondhand one. What about if you drop the motor out but have the power connector still attached, and apply slight pressure using your fingers on the motor gear, to see if it is playing up ? Si
  5. I believe there's two ingredients / items missing from that man size sandwich, and that is McCoy's crisps and Yorkie Bar. MAN food :) PS can you please make me one :chef: Si
  6. Both :tumbleweed: :compress: Roll on 7pm :bounce2: Si
  7. England playing this evening what are your thoughts. So far Germany lost their game yesterday, and Brazil drew 1-1. Well here we go join in when you can. It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, Football’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, Football’s coming home Everyone seems to know the score. They’ve seen it all before, They just know, they’re so sure, that England’s gonna throw it away, Gonna blow it away, but I know they can play, ’cause I remember… Three Lions on a shirt, Jules Rimet still gleaming, 52 years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming. So many jokes, so many sneers, but all those oh-so-nears. Wear you down, through the years, But I still see that tackle by Moore and when Lineker scored, Bobby belting the ball and Nobby Dancing! Three Lions on a shirt, Jules Rimet still gleaming, 52 years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming. It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, Football’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, Football’s coming home Si
  8. Funny thing is though Jim I was in my Polo this morning  Like you say must be a Corrado curse  Si
  9. Oh right ok. That company must have just sold out then as they were selling them for roughly £36 per side. I think Classic Parts are now doing both door mirrors for the Corrado, and possibly the left mirror glass. Si
  10. Well it's been a while so here we go. Today early doors I had melted cheese on toast with BBQ sauce :icecream: Then diving to work and had the drivers window open, almost downed a bluebottle fly when it hit me in the face. Protein  Si
  11. It's good to see a load of Corrado's together, it's a rare site now especially on a race track. Happy 30th Corrado :new-bday: Raise those spoilers in a toast  Si
  12. Once my sunroof broke back in 2004, I left it as the parts needed back then I couldn't find. Blimey that's 14 years :suprised: VW Classic Parts are reproducing parts for the Corrado, but it's a slow process I think there's now towards 100 pages at Classic under the Corrado section. Some of the sunroof items above that I listed weren't available until recently, so you never know they might do another run of the repair kits or cables. I was very lucky in 2013 or 2014, when I obtained a working secondhand unit off a fellow Forum member for £65, But like I say I was lucky. And it's still in my parts pile, until I have the space and time to fit it. If I see or hear anything from Heritage or Classic, I'll give you a shout. Si
  13. According to his Ebay sale page for his replica lenses, he's got 2 left possibly sets that is. Si
  14. I've managed to drop down the whole fuel pump unit in one piece, and got it all stripped a part. My original plastic swirl pot doesn't look too bad, unfortunately the 4 fixing points where the anti vibration mounts fix to are brittle / weak, I've luckily got a spare swirl pot. But like I say I'm looking into getting some of these items refabricated. I've taken a fair few photos but can't post them up on here, I could last year but for some reason they don't upload on this Forum now. Si
  15. Below are the part numbers for the original set up, just in case any of you are still able to reuse your old original swirl pot. 535 201 043 = Plastic fuel swirl pot for 9A & KR engines (is still obsolete) 191201505A = Fuel swirl pot mounting bracket ( obsolete no longer available ) 191201274 = Rubber mount buffer (still available through Heritage) 4 needed they attach to above bracket. 191201280A = safety speed nut (still available) 4 needed they attach to above rubber mounts. If the 4 retaining hex nuts are loose then these safety speed nuts keep the swirl pot bracket held up. (Obsolete at VW) But showing in stock with a company called NKAutomotive on Ebay, their part n.o: WHT002257 191 201 373 = Fuel feed pipe from external fuel pump to accumulator. (Possibly still available) 505 201 218A Fuel feed pipe from accumulator to fuel filter. (looks like this is obsolete now) Hope this helps Si
  16. Yeah I'd second that. To be honest there's still Corrado's left in the USA, in parts of Europe and of course here in the UK, the later type fog lights would sell like HOT CAKES, nearly all Corrado owners need them. Especially the lenses. Si
  17. I believe you can purchase parts of the sunroof from Classic Parts through Heritage, but it's only the roof panel and main carrier unit. That's all there is available at the moment from VW Classic Parts at the moment, plus one or two other sunroof parts. These are the parts that VW Classic have for now: 357 877 255 A 4CT £384.20 pastel gray inner frame 357 877 255 A 6YW £191.66 Grey inner panel (1993 to 1995) 357 877 277 £0.43 Small spring (1993 to 1995) 41mm length 10mm width 535 877 071 £121.65 Main sunroof panel (1988 to 1995) 357 877 255 A S02 £331.69 Light beige inner panel 357 877 271 S02 £209.17 Light beige inner panel 357 877 795 £217.92 Sunroof motor (for Corrado) 357 972 851 A £3.05 Cable holder reel 703 877 227 A 6YW £40.95 Grey inner beading 357 877 227 B 3UK £36.71 pastel beige inner beading Si
  18. Mine was doing that same thing on the left side, it was catching / pinching slightly, the metal that arm thing is made of is so weak, mine snapped in half. I lubricated mine and it helped for a while, but like I say it still broke. VW used to do a repair kit for the sunroof, the main issue I think is dirt and grime, gets coated on the carrier where the mechanism slides and over time it causes it to pinch and slows down its operation, which if left can crack or snap like mine did. I think silicone grease works fairly well, just be careful when you're opening / closing the sunroof, unfortunately this is one of the weak points with the Corrado. I've enquired about a repair kit with VW main dealer and VW Heritage, but it's still obsolete for the moment. I was told though that the MK3 Golf sunroof cables are on the same part numbers as the Corrado. Si
  19. Come on Spain, get in  :drinking: Oh :censored: Portugal just scored again. Peach of a goal though :shocked!: Si
  20. Yeah we're going to win the 2018 world cup, I can see it now, come on England, KICK ON  Then I woke up :splat: :help: Si

Hello and welcome to the Forum. I think FPR = Fuel Pressure Regulator Si
  22. Right it's been a while now since I was last working on this fuel swirl pot issue, due to work and no spare time to take it any further. I've got some spare time again now coming up, so will be getting back on track with this. Update I've been in touch with various fabrication companies close to me near Bournemouth, 1) one can reproduce the fuel pipes that go from the fuel pump to accumulator and from the accumulator to fuel filter. They just want me to take a set in so they can see them in the flesh to copy them. 2) I'm also looking at getting the original swirl pot face flange made, basically this is where the original fuel pump with syphon fit into. Once made this can be welded into a alloy swirl pot which would still allow you to fit and bolt in the original Bosch fuel pump with the triple / triangular plastic retaining clamp. Again they want to see the original swirl pot and original fuel pump so they can scan / copy it. 3) plus one of my old customers is a industrial fabricator, he makes coolers and fuel burners, so if I have a word with him he could possibly copy the original swirl pot, but leave the front face open to weld in the fabricated face flange, to still be able to use original pump set up. Does anyone else need a swirl pot sorting out soon for their Corrado 16v ?? I'm going to see these companies in person on Monday 25th June 2018 Si
  23. (Marmite / Facebook) You either love it or hate it. For me personally I'm not a huge fan of Marmite :gag: It's this Forum all the way. Si
  24. Yeah it's scary really what some of these new parts sell for from third parties, so to speak. But on a positive note at least you've managed to find a new one Ger040, it can be a mind field trying to find some of these new parts. Si
  25. I did have space  I think the house foundations are sinking :lol:
