This link below shows photos of a LHD 1990 Corrado G60 from the VW Vortex Forum, it possibly might show what you're looking for ? https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6953532-1990-g60-corrado-part-out#/topics/6953532?page=1 Hope it helps Si

Sounds like you possibly might just need a new outer surround seal, I suppose you can stick it or glue it back in, with a unibond exterior sealant or silicon sealant in black. Si

Hello there, sorry to hear you've lost an item, they do sometimes become loose the rear number plate light covers, ideally you need to check your tailgate where this part is screwed to, as they're known to rust which causes the 3 screws to drop out. I've looked on the VW Heritage site and they've got 4 left in stock at the moment. The part number is 535 943 127 Cost is £9.50 https://www.vwheritage.com/535943127-number-plate-light-assembly-cover-vw-spare Hope this helps Si

The MK3 Golf fuel neck repair panel is being reproduced by VW Heritage, looks like 1000 are being made but are on back order for now until complete. No completion date has been given only that they are due in the next two to three months or so. Part number is: 191 803 483 Cost is £26.50 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?108232-Drivers-rear-inner-and-outer-wing We can possibly use this on our Corrado's if our old panels are rusted through, which seems to be a common area now on the Corrado. Just a quick update, this morning I spoke to Julian at VW Heritage to make enquiries about the fuel filler neck repair panel, they've got 1000 being reproduced, but no completion date has been given yet, I was told possibly available in the next month or two but could be longer ? The part number for the MK3 Golf repair panel in question is: 191 803 483 Cost is £26.50 Si

I've had a look on the VW Classic Parts site, looks like they only have the early type ones for now. Part number 191 867 109 Si

I was out on the drive working on my Corrado earlier on after work, and was cleaning up some of the area on the drivers inner wing, as I've got the fuel tank out so it's a lot easier to gain access, anyway was just prepping the area ready for when my new inner panel arrives, and noticed how thin the metal is on the fuel filler neck support panel, it's pitted in places but not badly. So looks like the rust on our Corrado's around the fuel filter area is caused by dirt and damp mud trapped behind the fuel filler neck, and eating into the metal over the years. I've tried to find a replacement fuel filler neck repair panel, but looks like there's none for the Corrado or MK2 Golf possibly obsolete, but looks like you can get one for the MK3 Golf, VW Heritage are currently out of stock of this item, but it is due in very soon. The part number for the MK3 Golf repair panel in question is: 191 803 483 Cost is £26.50 So with a little fabrication I'm sure this panel would fit our Corrado's if needed. Si

Possibly another small plastic item that could do with being 3D printed, is the small screw end caps that fit into the head of some of the cross headed screws, i.e the Phillips screws, that are used on the door cards. Part number I think is 321 867 169B Or 321 867 169B 01C satin black, but I suppose if they're 3D printed any colour is potentially possible as our interiors came in black, grey, and beige. Si

They look really good Chris. Si

Hello there, hopefully someone on here will have a off cut available, as the rear wings are like you say double skinned. The inner wing is roughly €159 part n.o: 535 809 404A The main outer wing is more expensive at roughly just over €500 part n.o: 535 809 844A Both are available at VW Classic Parts, or through VW Heritage. But you're probably better off trying to obtain a good off cut as it'll be cheaper. I've just bought a new inner wing section (drivers side rear) through VW Heritage (part n.o: 535 809 404A) Which I'll receive in about 3 weeks time but I don't need all of this new panel, I just need a small rear part of it close to the fuel filler hole, I suspect you need the same area but if not you're welcome to the rest of this inner wing panel, if what's left is any good to you that is. I've bought loads of stuff for my Corrado from B & B Components, never had a problem with them. Also AVS Car Parts are quite good, here's the link below: https://www.vwspares.co.uk/VW_Corrado_Cooling.php?model=2.9%20VR6 Si

I'm sure I've seen these on VW Classic Parts, can't remember how much for though. I'll see if I can find them again and post up the details for you. Si

As above 100% worked for me also. Many thanks Si

Hello mate thanks for reply, yeah I've sent my spare master cylinder to them, so will see how it goes. Si

Yes as above possibly vacuum leak somewhere, also have the fuel pressure checked just in case. Also the fuel pressure regulator when they fail, the car normally won't start up at all, but if it does it'll run like a bag of poor. Timing chains do stretch over time especially over 100,000 miles, the engine will sound like a bag of nails when you go on & off the throttle, on a well used warn engine like that those chains could be 1/2 a tooth or close to 3/4 of a tooth out, but for most cars it'll still run. But for an engine to run rough the sprockets would have to be close to 1-1/2 to 2 teeth out as mentioned above by Harrier. I'd firstly get the engine timed up and check everything is in alinement, because to get the timing chains replaced your looking at £1200 if not more depending who does it. Also get a compression test done on all six cylinders, and like I say get the fuel pressure checked. Crank sensor normally tells the coil pack when to fire. Cam sensor normally tells the injectors when to fire. You've mentioned that the Lambda sensor has been replaced, also the coolant temp switch, air flow sensor and coil pack. Could be a wiring fault somewhere or fault with the ECU, but you'd normally have a fault or error code for that. Si

Hello there, I've been doing a bit of digging around, possibly could be just the batch identity number or something like that ? Looks like this camshaft was used in some of the MK2 Golfs, MK2 Jettas, Corrado's, MK3 Golf and a few others. This is the information from VW Classic Parts below that I found. Part number 026 109 101 A Camshaft M >> 2E 565 664 * PG Camshaft for Corrado with eng codes PG / 2E Length 410mm Overall diameter 45mm Hope this helps Si

I'm going to send off my spare master cylinder later on this week to them. If anyone else needs one ASAP, Richard at PAST PARTS has one already done on the shelf. Si

I've been trying to find a replacement brake master cylinder for my Corrado 2.0 16v, I phoned my local VW Dealer and they checked all the dealerships in the UK, but all sold out now, they said the brake master cylinder for ABS went obsolete in 2010, there were a few left up until about 2012, but like I say they're all gone now. Apparently the Brake master cylinder for ABS was originally £350 new from VW Amazingly VW still stock the NONE ABS master cylinder for the Corrado cost is £270 But only have a few left. I've managed to get a secondhand master cylinder for ABS off Ebay for about £60 as my original one on my Corrado is showing signs it's on the way out. Because some of you guys have mentioned that you possibly can get it overhauled from a company called PAST PARTS. I decided to phone them up and spoke to a guy called Richard, he confirmed that they have done a few Corrado master cylinders in the past few years, he told me amazingly that he's got a Corrado master cylinder for ABS already done on the shelf, but that he would need the old unit for exchange, otherwise a surcharge is added on. Richard said to overhaul the Corrado master cylinder for ABS is £105 + VAT Also he said they can overhaul the original clutch master cylinder for £65 + VAT Apparently they rebore out the master cylinder and fit a stainless steel sleeve, so they're still able to fit the original size seal kit. Plus they will powder coat the master cylinder in black so it looks OEM, but this is optional if you want the OEM look or not. Time wise he said roughly about 2 to 3 weeks as they are very busy at the moment. Basically when you send your old item to them, add a note of what you want them to do and your own address, and when completed they'll phone you to let you know your item is on it's way back. Si

Alternator cable routing and exciter wire connection (KR)
vw rule replied to jamesoff's topic in Engine Bay
Photo 1) showing wiring from alternator, ideally you want a cable tie to attach it to bottom hose, well that's what I did on mine anyway. Photo 2 / 3) showing wiring going behind / under oil filter housing, on yours the wires go over the water pipe, again you could cable tie them to stop the cable moving and rubbing wearing away so to speak. On mine the cable runs under the water pipe but to be honest I'm sure it'll be fine. Yeah a part from that it looks correct in your photos. Si
