Hello Jamie. Part number 357 121 207 F £129.00 euros For Corrado VR6 with air conditioning with twin fans (eng code AAA) but says Corrado 1992 to 1995 (so should fit eng code ABV also) Length 690 mm Width 330 mm Depth 73 mm Heritage don't stock it but can order it for you from VW Classic Parts, order time is roughly 3 to 4 weeks. Possibly someone on here may have a secondhand fan cowl / shroud. ****************** Also there's this item the plastic top fan guard, that attaches to the fan shroud. Says for VR6 Corrado 2.9 only (ABV eng code) Part number 535 121 343 C £28.95 euros ******************** Right rad fan unit (Right side when sat in car) Part number 357 119 113 A £159.00 euros Fan diameter 302 mm Fan depth 55 mm Can only see the right fan at the moment for the Corrado VR6 on Classic Parts site. Hope this helps Si

This is the part number for the MK2 Golf / Jetta subframe 191199315AD (1984 to 1992) Eng codes PL KR 9A but does say for all MK2 models. I believe the MK2 and Corrado 4 cyl subframes are very similar, whether they are interchangeable I'm not 100% sure. Below are the measurements of the MK2 subframe. Length 925mm Width 520mm Height 170mm Weight is roughly 10KG From what I've read on other sites people say that the 2 subframes in question are changeable. Here's an old thread from 2014 regarding G60 subframe. http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?89172-Need-front-subframe-for-g60 Also here is a link to the Club GTi forum, showing the differences between the subframes in question. https://www.clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/corrado-16v-g60-vr6-subframe-differences-with-pics.267070/ Hope this helps Si

Alternator cable routing and exciter wire connection (KR)
vw rule replied to jamesoff's topic in Engine Bay
Yeah as above I believe Jim is talking about the metal coolant pipe, that is bolted to the engine block and cylinder head, that runs under your distributor this pipe connects to one of the heater hoses at the back of engine, and at the other end connects to one of the oil cooler hoses above oil filter. If you look at the front engine mount you'll see the mount is bolted to a bracket, which is bolted to the starter motor bolts, attached to this engine mount bracket there's normally a double cup plastic clip which sits horizontal on the top edge of bracket, ideally you should have your main positive battery cable clipped into that double cup plastic clip, your positive cable should then run under your oil filter housing, where it then goes up the other side between your oil filter and thermostat, and connects to your alternator. This is the normal route on the KR and 9A engines. As 1200bandit has said you should see 13.5v to 14v from alternator, and similar across your battery. Also if you put your alternator under load by switching on your lights, wipers, hazards, rear window demister, you should see a minimum of at least 13.3v to 13.5v if you rev your engine you should see the voltage increase to 14v Hope this helps Si -
Hello and welcome to the Forum. Fair play the G60 shell looks good, I see what you mean about the drivers wing, and the red paint looks a bit faded in places. Believe me you'll love driving this car once it's done, keep us posted with your progress :thumbleft: Si

Hi Sprinter53, like I say I'll have a late set please for a 94 Corrado. Please can you PM your payment details and I'll pay. Many thanks Si
-
Yep I've got it, 007 bullet proof glass for the fogs, complete with retractable wings, or is that me drinking Red Bull flying with out wings  But on a serious note yeah there must be something, what about the blanking caps that are fitted in replacement for fogs on the Canadian Corrado's, if you have those fitted you can then attach LED strips or small round LED fog lights ?? Si

Payment done fla, I've sent you a PM as requested. Many thanks Si

Fair play look good :thumbleft: Si

Yes I ordered a clear set on 2nd June, spoke to Julian or George I think. Si

I think it's A118c or A119c Novatek, the one I have. Plus when I was looking for a dash cam about 18 months ago, there was a good dash cam that attached to your interior mirror, it had loads of apps built into it, including Bluetooth for hands free calling. It was on Ebay a while ago. Si
-
I've got the A118c dash cam, complete with rear camera. The main front camera is roughly 8 mega pixel, and the rear facing one is roughly 1 mega pixel, the rear one is pants really, it's ok if you're stuck in traffic as you can clearly see the car behind then, again at night it's even worse it just looks like you have a load of UFOs behind you  The front camera is really clear during daylight hours or at night. It fits behind your interior view mirror so does look fairly OEM. The rear camera you have to attach to the rear window or head lining trim, or possibly it can attach to your rear bumper but if you do that you'll have to keep wiping it clean. I think they cost from £38 up to £65 Si

Oh it's alright just have a few beers ready when it's all over :drinking: But until then KICK ON England  Si

I think when sitting in car Rob. Left radiator retaining short bracket 535121267 (for 4 cyl Corrado) Right radiator retaining long bracket 535121267B (for 4 cyl Corrado) Si
-
Yes I think it was Castrol Syntrans multigrade 75w-90 as the other guys have said. I'm sure I bought mine from Halfords a few years back. Si
-
I believe you want multi grade semi synthetic gear oil, as it works really well at all temperatures, Halfords were selling it. I've got it in my Corrado and it made a massive difference, there was a discussion about this back in 2014 I think ? I'll try and find the old thread. Si
-
Hang on though Rob I've been doing a bit of digging around, and there might be a slight difference in one or both Brackets between VR6 and the four cylinder Corrado ?? Original part numbers off my old brackets. Left radiator retaining bracket 535121267 (for 4 cyl Corrado) Right radiator retaining bracket 535121267B (for 4 cyl Corrado) Si
-
Just for future reference there was a Forum member selling stainless steel radiator brackets for the Corrado, I think it was DAVES16V so anyone else that wants these give him a shout. Here's a link to his sale thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?56303-Polished-Stainless-Radiator-Brackets&highlight=Stainless+radiator+bracket Hope this helps. Si
-
Hello Rob, right I've found my spare old set of radiator retaining brackets, these attach to the top of rad. I've got both brackets and bolts. Rob if you PM me your delivery address, and I'll send them out to you mate. How's £1 sound mate. Si

Right here's one of those old mirror threads I found. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91202-Door-mirror-glass&highlight=door+mirror New drivers side convex mirror glass for Corrado (on Ebay) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Right-Driver-Side-Heated-Convex-Wing-Door-Mirror-Glass-for-VW-CORRADO-1988-1995/272011373686?fits=Model%3ACorrado&epid=914725825&hash=item3f55242c76:g:pxAAAOSwZjJU5iUo Hope this helps Si

There was some company on Ebay a while ago, that was selling half decent mirror glass for the Corrado, the only issue I recall was you had to remove the old heated element from the old mirror glass, and attach it to the new one. I'm sure there were some forum members who had bought some, I'll see if I can find the old thread. Si
