Yeah top job done there, superb. Wish mine looked like that also, mines been on axle stands for the last 3 years, still doing loads to it from my list about a mile long, Erm the most recent work on mine was on Saturday, I replaced all the clutch hydraulics. 1) Master cylinder 2) Slave Cylinder 3) Made new pipe from master to slave cylinder 4) Fitted with new flexi hose. (M10 x 1mm double female ends and 320mm long) part n.o 3U0 611 707 says for VW Passat / Audi's / Skoda's M12 x 1mm X2 male fittings on 1/4 copper pipe, then 2 way female M12 connection reducer to M12 x 1mm male fitting on 3/16 copper pipe down to M10 x1mm male fitting, to Audi A6 double female flexi hose, then 10mm x 1 male fitting on 3/16 copper pipe, to M12 x 1mm still on 3/16 copper to slave cylinder, even used the original rubber grommet that holds the top of flexi hose against left chassis leg above gearbox, it fits perfectly over flexi hose by using WD40. Ebay items: After market one way valves, push on type 6mm and 8mm available. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sytec-Motorsport-One-Way-Valves-For-Fuel-In-Silver-480-Ltr-Hr-Flow-Rate/371053282523?hash=item56647fc4db:m:mnBdalXdwbMWxmWayb_0vUg This is the type of fuel swirl pot I've gone for, which is going to be cut down and modified. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-2L-Billet-High-Flow-Swirl-Fuel-Surge-Pot-Tank-AN6-for-044-External-Fuel-Pump/202095069403?epid=13004294398&hash=item2f0dce08db:g:~VMAAOSwRQxaUxvD Si

NEW UNIVERSAL SWIRL POT This is like I say (150mm X 150mm) equal square it has a fitting flange to hold a 044 Bosch fuel pump, also swirl pot has 3 AN6 inlets for fuel feed and returns. AN6 screwed fitting these are welded into place, and you simply purchase AN6 adapters that will screw in. AN6 = parallel thread with O-ring seal attached to which ever adapter you want to use. AN6 = OD 3/8" (9.52mm) / ID 0.297" (7.54mm) So I'm basically going to get this universal alloy swirl pot cut down a bit, from 150mm down to 110mm which would mean I'll lose where the AN6 inlets are now, so I'll have these welded into similar places as the original set up, so bottom right will be fuel feed in from main fuel tank, I'll have to plumb in a one way valve for that new fuel feed. Then the two returns on top again similar places as the original, also will have to plumb in here a one way valve on return from injectors, but return from swirl pot to main tank I shouldn't have to. Also original fuel pump is 61mm diameter. 044 Bosch fuel pump is 60mm diameter. So will have to see as regards cost if I'll use the new 044 Bosch pump, or get the fitting flange adapted to hold the original pump complete with original syphon filter ? 044 Bosch pump Inlet M18 x 1.5 female thread Outlet M12 x 1.5mm thread (Banjo) Might also get a new cradle brace bracket made out of alloy, will have to see how he gets on adapting the alloy swirl pot. Update Right it's good news so far, the fabrication guy I know said if he was to copy my old swirl pot set up from scratch, it would be around the £600 mark, but he told me if I got hold of a new after market swirl pot, he could cut it down or weld brackets on, plus has access to a full precision engineering workshop, so he might be able to do it for £250 or £350. Basically after my discussion with him on Monday 25th June, I purchased a alloy swirl pot for £41 off Ebay, it's (150mm x 150mm) equal square complete with a fitting flange to hold a 044 Bosch fuel pump. I believe the capacity of this new swirl pot is 2 litres at the moment, Anyway this new after market unit arrived on Thursday 28th June, I spent most of Thursday and the morning of Friday taking measurements of my original old unit and the under side of my Corrado and the new universal unit. With all the info on paper and the items in question, I've given it all to him to look at, so he's starting on this hopefully on Monday 1st July. Si

Your old sender (float unit) should have a part number on it. Or the sender unit housing should have a part number on it, basically in the boot when you lift up the carpet, you'll see a black plate cover held down with 3 screws, once this cover is removed you'll then see the top of the fuel sender housing. Hope it helps Si

I think the early Corrado's from 1988 to late 1991 or early 1992 had the smaller fuel tank 55 litre =(12 gallons) Then roughly 1992 onwards when the VR6 arrived they were fitted with the 70 litre =(15 gallons) fuel tank, as BAUHAUS has already mentioned. I think you possibly can still purchase the fuel sender unit for the G60 with eng code PG. Classic Parts keep it in stock I think it's roughly £89 or £99 euros. I'll see if I can find you the link to it. Si

1H0 919 506 (Corrado / MK3 Golf) 1H0 919 506A (MK3 Golf 1992 to 1994 / VW Passat) 1H0 919 506B (VW Vento) I think these have 12pins total. The smaller pins have 8, the larger pins have 3 or 4 i.e in the two connection plugs. Ebay item number 291823205559 £19.99 with free postage. This is a new part with your original part number of 1H0 919 506 But it's from China so I don't know regarding quality ? Hope this helps Si

Possibly might be that the original part number for that item in question, just had the numbers at the end, then when a updated version of the same part replaced the original, you get the single letter at the end. Also can mean that it fits Passat / Golf as well as Corrado ? Also I think sometimes the A at the end can mean for automatic vehicle only, but that's only on certain parts. Hope this helps Si

Yeah ERROR 404 What's going on there then  Si

Hello fla, received my stainless battery clamp today, looks bang on mate :thumbleft: Also sent you a PM. Thanks again Si

According to the Bentley manual for the Corrado, the Blue wire is 0.5mm think, goes from alternator to single connector near starter motor, then goes to back of fuse box at the bottom close to centre (says it's wire 3 in white 10 point connector plug) It's almost directly behind where fuses 10 to 12 are, if that makes sense. Look at the coloured diagram in the link below, it's a blow up image of the back of fuse box, look at the white 10 point connector plug ( F ) wire position number 3 is where the 0.5 blue wire in question goes to. That I believe is your battery warning light wire. Look at link below http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html Hope this helps Si
