-
so whats the safe limit for a 68mm?
-
im the same, dont do anymore than 2k a year but scared to rev the nuts outa the charger if with a 65mm pulley your limited to 6k then thought the 68 would be 7 k?
-
I like your style dirty torque  Well il limit myself to 7000rpm and run a 68mm, i know most g60 8vs go round to 7000rpm

and bingo was his name

does it have a cam vernier pulley? theres no correct way to set them, they need to be adjusted on a rolling road
-
id stick the multi meter on battery to check reading as normal, then leave the live wire on mutlimeter but pick the earth feed up from the engine block or inlet. It should be the same reading, if lower then your earth strap needs cleaningreplacing.

Id love to get it dyno'd but im stck on the isle of wight and it costs a fortune to get to mainland. Plans are to save and get a remap first. The belt routing has changed, i have an extra idler wheel to ensure more contact on the water pump and it was the rad support i cut, not the cross member itself so shouldnt effect structural stability. I wana know what it feels like with a 68mm pulley on it, just waiting for my mate to wap his for my old 65mm i had

I bolted a vr6 alternator to the standard g60 bracket where the aircon would go. I had to grind a bit off the alternator which i regret doing as its not a straight swap if the alternator ever goes. I need to get it taxed and get my bumper back on and give it a pasting

MAP-Sensor upgrade both on VW CORRADO G60-250Kpa & VW T4-115
flusted replied to g60lader's topic in Engine Bay
so are you selling these map sensors? if yes, how much and take it you ship to uk? -
Nothing jumps at you when you seperate it. Im sure g-werks can do it in a few days rather than several weeks. I took mine apart to port it further, isnt that bad but rebuild kits cost loads anyway so labour from g-werks inc isnt much more

bummer i wanted a matching filter for my twin inlet
-
Just taken my 16v g60 round the block and with a standard pulley its making 6psi. Do you think this is normal for a 16v head? ive checked all my hose joins and cant see any potential leaks but havent checked with washing up liquid. What size pulley is recomended for a 16 g60? obviously 65mm is out the question but is 68mm ok for 7600rpm max?
-
does he have the filter spare?
-
agreed may start a topic in engine bay section
-
update Still only boosting at 6psi yet to check for leaks but cant see anything obvious, might just be the standard 76mm pulley as im used to a 65mm jobby? heres a short vid of it running "
-
ditch the standard bottom bit and knock up a heat shield in ally or summink
-
I thought diesel 1.9 crank was the way forward?
-
Drove it round the block today! only making 6psi boost so think i have a big boos leak bu all drove ok
-
Bump for anyone that can sell me some?
