Just got my 16vg60 engine running but the FPR on the custom fuel rail hits the bonnnet. Its supposed to have .25npt fittings? Is it possible to get a angled joiner or something to move the FPR? if so, where from? Also, the joins leak slightly, should i use teflon tape? Heres the fuel rail

there is another difference but dont think its down to it but the later engines had a different head design, smaller inlet ports and larger exhaust ports -
agreed, as i keep saying, mine done exactly this, the vid is identical to what mine was doing, i fitted red tops and different fpr and the problem dissopeared. Its got to be fuel pressure related, as you press wot switch it richens it up as it ignores the lambda?

there used to be a dyno graph on club gti of a 8v and 16v torque figures both standard cars. 16v showed same if not more torque lower down Also later golf 16vs had the 50mm which was ment to boost bhp figures -

no it runs and idles, just very loud with no exhaust and will overheat without a rad :lol: will try and fit the rad etc tommorrow

those spoilers look the nuts, shame i cant stretch to that

its by no means finished, boost hoses arent connected or rad, or exhaust. Will get pics and vids up soon, so far an easy conversion but yet to drive it and see what problems i encounter

the 1.8 box has the shortest raios so should make for better acceleration i think? -

yes you can feel the difference but your 16v should have same or more torque low down it just feels less as you get more at 4k. Maybe worth getting your valver tuned up? -
think you tap them in with a bit of wood and a hammer, but you need to ask why has it popped out??
