  1. yeah youve used a single filement bulb instead of double filement

  3. i only used the 16v box as i didnt have a g box, it span the wheels everywhere and was a mare to drive
  4. i put a 16v box on my g and it was horrible so expect the same the otherway round
  5. i have a lightened standard flywheel, think its 6lbs standard is 18lbs i think?
  6. starter wire is thick red/black fuel pump wire is thin red/yellow ignition wire thick black/yellow hope that helps ps make sure you solder the new joins

  14. my car is of the road as i dont have a cam for it (long story) can i run a standard mk3 2.0 8v gti cam in there just to get it back on the road?
  15. it was to my mates 2l 8v mk3, the inlet manifold had to be ground down around the mani flanges as they fouled big time. The mani itself fitted fine to the rest of car ie body clearance etc, just the way it mounted to the head was the prob
  16. yes it will! although i recntly fitted a raceland mani to a golf mk3 gti and the fit was crap
  17. the purple wire goes to the grey wire on the lambda i think which should be the outside wire?
  18. if my 1.8 bottom end blew, id go 2e with stacked gaskets just to see what would happen
  19. carbs sound loverly agreed, but think they are sucking in loads of hot air from the rad and zapping power :shock:
  20. did you ever get the fuel pressure checked correctly? it will be something simple and with the right equipment, id expect daz would have it fixed in 1hr max so wont cost alot. I travelled all the way to stealth from the Isle of Wight which costs £50 return on the ferry before you even get to the manland but it was well worth the travel, the drive on the way home was amazing once vince had fixed my engine 8)
