Thought id post some pics in here of my car as Bally keeps tellin me off for not doin it.Im always doin something to it so the look changes evry week! Carbon bonnets are about £600-800 but would look sweet and weigh sod all.Id get 1 if i could afford 1 -
the mk3 is a tall block.I believe its 18mm higher but should still bolt in the same.Still would be better gettin a 9a if your rebuilding it,the milage wont matter

Ive recently fitted 1 to mine,seems to suit the modifications better. The 1.8 was designed to use the 50mm,think vw put the smaller 1s on corrados due to there weight. JT wot motor have you got and is it on the IOW? Il keep an eye out for it!

Thought i had play in front wheel bearing,looked closer and play is in the piston of the coilover. How do i get rid of play?do i need a new insert or new strut and where would i get the bits? Any advice much appreciated as my mot has run out.

im using 1,they look good,thats it! the metal actually absorbs heat which proberly aint good

Another thing to take into comsideration is if your c is lowered,mine was so low there was no room for the zorst over the axle and that knock like hell.

Ive got the mk3 golf 1s on mine and had no probs with short wires?think i just cut a cable tie and it reached.They do feel smoother

if you raise the system pressure,you will raise the control pressure aswell,losing power.The wur mod everone has done on 1.8 involves lowering the control pressure to increase the mixture across the rev range

9a and kr engines are the same height and dimensions so it would fit,not sure on mating to the cat tho

Ive shaved down the spindle on my 16v throttle body and fitted countersunk screws and it made car pick up alot better

Als the mfa needs to be set to no 1 position for that journey,gave mine a thrashin yesturday for about 7miles and was doin 26mpg

Mine does 7-9mpg! only cos i do short journeys with the firebreather!!! 26 really aint bad tho is it? vw state 32mpg but thats probaly driving like a grandad
