Yep,had to drop the subframe,tried everything first then just bit the bullet. I think i undone the downpipe first and then the manifold,then subframe. You only need to undo the 4 subframe bolts,and let it hang on the struts

You have to lower the front subframe to allow cleareance to get old 1 out . Big job

Just read through the search and im still a bit puzzled. Basically im breaking a mk3 gti and a seat cupra at the mo and want to know wot bits will fit my rado. Im currently doin the g60 front conversion and want to sort the rear at same time. Do i fit the mk3 calipers or can i fit the seat 1s? im not sure if seat ones are 256mm,if they are is there anyway of fitting them but havin 4 stud discs? the seat is the 180bhp model not the 210/225bhp All advice much appreciated

Was the paint still wet?? this happened to me when i sprayed my wheels.Might be the type of lacquer your using aswell

I had a 6 line kit for a golf but sold the front lines,thats why im after just the fronts! how much am i lookin at for the front pair? Cheers

Think of it as you wont need to change hoses again as the braided 1s should never buldge

Bally,its good to see someone who stoops as low as me :lol: im thinkin of puttin my back up slightly and dropin the front some more as i have some serious negative caber on the front which prevents the tyres hittin on the wings.90mm spoiler is mullered tho but that adds to the effect! People walk past my car and say "that car is stupidly low,hes even broke his spoiler cos of it" which makes me chuckle :lol:

Heres an idea to how low the rear is on mine

mine are down as far on back aswell and i presumed mine was down 100mm BUT when i measured from hubnut to arch it measured 280mm and standard is sopposed to be 360mm meaning mines lowered 80mm. so much for coilovers giving 120mm drop :|

BALLY,you havent told me how low yours is yet... measure from center of hubnut to your wing lip and let me know what it is, standard is 360mm
