Here are some of mine. First when it was Rotrexed (sadly didn't last long :( ) and now with the new R32 lump 8) and a some point there will be a turbo on it :lol:

There are some silly clean engine bays on here!!!! Nice to see a clean 16v engine aswell. Doesnt seem to be very many of them about.

you still got the rotrex rob? is it still grenaded? was thinking maybe of a change of charger for the better rotrex.

Yeah I still got it, need to open it up and swap the bearings though as they are what seized. I need to get my arse in gear really and give it a go! It's only the little 74 version though so I doubt you'd see much more than 300bhp tops with it. I got 270bhp with it running 7psi on lowered compression, no cooling and no proper map so with a slightly smaller pulley, some form of cooling and a proper map it's be closer to 300bhp I'd imagine, and with some Schimmel 263 cams thrown in then maybe over 300.

My engine as it was when first fitted in J-DUB... doesn't look quite like that in H-YYU at the moment as the head is in the boot at the moment... :roll:

This is what an unloved 16V engine bay looks like, but it is almost 19 years old.

 

It's slightly cleaner now, only because it's had a new distributor.

I like it, very OEM, goes to show that it doesn't have to be all chrome and shiny bits to look nice
