seanl82 23 Posted June 15, 2016 Really is a great car Daren, and as mentioned looking very familiar - just a slightly different shade of black!

Harrier 1 Posted June 15, 2016 Looks great!!! What are the H&R coilovers like? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks :) Early days yet as I have only driven on reasonable quality roads but first impressions are good.
Harrier 1 Posted August 30, 2016 This is overdue an update though not a great deal to say, The car has largely been ignored since Stonor though visited a local meet at Beaulieu and got voted into the peoples choice top 10 which was nice, The H & R coilovers have settled in nicely and i'm pretty happy with them. Had an mot in early August ( all good ) Took a 530 mile round trip to Harewood for the Vw Festival and CCGB national day, had a great time and the car drove perfectly though the driver suffered in the hot journey and traffic jams on the drive there ! Hadn't been out of the garage since then, apart from cleaning so took the car out this eve for a nice little drive as it was a lovely evening, and tried to get a few decent photos The summer is disappearing fast but should be able to get at least one more meet / show in :)

Harrier 1 Posted October 2, 2016 So that's it for this year :( Sorned now for a while , removed the RS's today for cleaning and winter storage and refitted the Speedlines. Have to say I think it looks great on them too with the coilovers 8)

Harrier 1 Posted April 1, 2017 (edited) Well it's that time of year again so the C has come off sorn for 6 months. Have done absolutely nothing to the car over the winter apart from charging the battery and firing up the engine on occasion. Took it out for a little ride this afternoon and all seems well . First show as usual will be Stanford Hall at the end of the month and I have my place booked on the concourse stand. Looking forward to it and catching up with folks Just a bit of sprucing up to do for then. :) Pic from today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited April 1, 2017 by Harrier

Harrier 1 Posted April 30, 2017 First proper outing of the year to Stanford Hall today, great day out as always and managed runner up in class behind KIp 8) With a little engraved plate and rosette we were also awarded some cleaning products from Meguiars which was great, especially as it tipped down with rain on the way home so the car will need a mega clean now :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

seanl82 23 Posted May 1, 2017 Well done Daren, excellent result! Was that with the H&R coilovers fitted too? I think with return to standard suspension and a lucky find on some original roof strips (you may be waiting a while though to find some)! You'll certainly give Paul a run for his money! You'll have the funds for it all with the sale of the RS's though! It's amazing as it is, but will you be pushing toward a 1st place in future?..... Definitely achievable, but you'll know what you lost points on and if it's worth pushing to correct them in the grand scheme. Keep it up mate, hopefully catch up before too long. :thumbleft:
Erallus 10 Posted May 1, 2017 Nice looking car. And congrats on the award . Looked like a nice example on the day
Harrier 1 Posted May 1, 2017 Thanks all :) Yes Sean the h&r's were still fitted, I expected to be marked down on them but wasn't! The judge was a different chap to last year and was kinder with the points. He did give some constructive advice being the drivers seat showing age and some more under bonnet detailing needed. I plan to improve in these areas and will be back again next year I'm sure. Can't quite see me taking the trophy from Kip or Judith though , best chance of that is if they don't attend ! seanl82 23 Posted May 1, 2017 A cheap cloth passenger seat to replace the bolster then! Not a great deal to do mate, good luck for the rest of the year, I'm sure you'll come away with a few more awards. Congrats again mate. :thumbleft:

Congrats again mate. :thumbleft: Bolsters are ok, it's more that it has slight cracking in the leather and wear.
