Black magic returns home

Recommended Posts

Absolutely, we have to focus on positive things right now. Life's hard and upside down like it's never been before. I could talk a long time about this but probably better to keep the forum without, it's nice to have an escape place right now!
I'm happy for you, you're about to close in on your dream/ideal Corrado and that's a big accomplishment. It's not an easy project car, lots of work and thoughts and perseverance and money involved so good for you mate. One day I'll feel that way, one day ha haa!

Cheers!

I had a Raid 3 spoke on my MK2, it had individual horn buttons on the leather covered spokes and centre. I replaced it with an Italvolante 4 spoke with leather covered spokes and centre horn push, this was a dealer option in the day.

I'm not a fan of the bolts on show in the centre - it looks a bit too motorsport IMO

Did the raid one have 16V red emblem by chance Dox ?  Are you sure that was not an Italovanti as well ?  Pictures attached below.

I know the 4 spoke Italovanti  you owned bloody lovely - both appeared in a VW accessories brochure mate and you could order from the dealers.

These are the two Im thinking of buying either one.  The one with the decal I could get someone to make me a badge for a tenner- VWMS something to them lines.

Im 100 percent changing my wheel for me its the ugliest thing on the car and the main contact. Agree don't like the racing bolt type to agriculture for what is meant to be a sporty luxury coupe.

I'm a bit pissed about the pressure dents from crap piled on it in the loft TBH, hopefully they'll pop out again

Want to be careful a rodent don't chew on it mate if keeping in an outbuilding - to valuable these days. My garage is spotless and a little hairy shit chewed some of my boiler pipe work insulation the other day.

Lovely to see a Corrado in this condition - looks great in red !

Is that a remote garage door switch behind the sunroof switch ?

Nardi Personal

Anyone looking for a steering wheel , I really can say this is the most amazing steering wheel I have ever owned, I received it today , it is around  5mm smaller than the stock wheel- Leather quality is superb and nice and chunky with a deep black colour.

NOS only one left - you can get the Nardi hub kit from driftwort. 4370.95.5407 fits all corrado. Picture below gives it no justice.

It says Fittipaldi a famous race driver. Imagine this wheel with some black Recaro- just what the doc ordered!

Nice looking wheel

Thanks mate looking forward to getting it on the car when I finally get her back.

They do it in this version as well- costs a bit more but also NOS,

Renewart could make a VW motor emblem and you flick out the original decal.

Engine update and pictures.

Vince is working solo at the moment due to the current restrictions which has been a bonus really for me because it means he has personally hand built my engine on his own .

Sent me some pictures today and thought I would share. Extremely happy with Vinces work.

Oh, it's looking promising! That's a good thing indeed for having Vince personally doing it. I think it's also better to have just one person doing the job, specially a pro.

Keep us posted! Cheers mate

Thanks ABV It is a huge part owning a Classic car for me having a specialist garage as it can have a major experience on ownership having a good mechanic on board. I have some receipts from 2003 for my Schrick been fitted by Vince from the previous owner so I imagine it was purchased on a group buy off here ? He has been looking after the car off and on for the last 20 years !!!
