  1. Thanks Easy Pops much appreciated , the car has actually been moved forward to Monday for the body shop, you know I'm going to struggle to let go when she comes out gleaming and I Am Horrendously sporadic. I was in the garage earlier filling up and literally had a mature guy believe it or not chasing me saying badass vr6, and slapping his finger on to his knuckle lol ! ISV Muffler , Heater resistor, and rad switch, gone to Senior easy pops , can't believe these did not sell within an hour of getting posted. Thanks EP.
  2. Used VDO fuel pump and sender for a VR6 added .4 bar Lupo GT wiper arms added
  3. Im not sure which radiator brand it is as the mechanic charged labour only on invoice and the seller didn't have the receipt for it. Shaun member on here has seen it and he might be able to tell you if mine is the same as his. Can't post pictures on here chap its a buggeror would of. I can say I went for a good drive in the Rado today and she was steady at good speeds at 88 degrees with the alloy radiator and of course you gain weight savings to the heavy nose of a VR6. Well worth checking if your grill has the three opening slits as well because mine dropped by 5 degrees running with that grill at least and that is been modest.
  4. I have actually got one of these Alu radiators, however the last owner had it fitted a few months before I purchased the car so cant give links or advice on bracket fabrication, yes another thing that has been done to the Rado I'm selling ! It cools the car great to be honest and fits in there fine. The only thing that you have to mod is the brackets to house the radiator, they don't match the stock housing bracket points. I would post some pics on here to show you how it sits from looking above it in the Engine bay. The radiator trim piece fits on top of and it fits great under the slam panel. I have got the receipt of the mechanic who fitted it and he was Epsom way.
  5. Update. Thanks easy pops Bar Tek gaskets now gome. Thanks Ant, indicator lights, Intake elbow and wiper link now gone. Will be posting these tomorrow morning, so if you want an item in tomorrow's post get your orders in folks. Cheers.
  6. Is it a VR you own and which brand did you fit? Thanks
  7. Was it a JP MAF that was faulty?
  8. New parts added for collection . Anyone needs anything not mentioned on the list please ask if available as not even 30 percent of parts on list. Have a Bar Tek manifold gasket new in bag also for all you shrikies out there. . Cheers Folks.
  9. The job of the blue solenoid is . when the charcoal canister if full of petrol fumes that runs from a hose from your petrol filler it opens the solenoid so it can be entered into the Inlet manifold to be burnt off. A Solenoid that is not working(stuck) can lead a to a Charcoal canister exploding in your engine bay or smelly fuelly engine. Hope this helps. Also if Solenoid stuck open can lead to rough engine running , a part know one ever thinks about. Just follow the hose to the left the one that houses to the little pipe fitting on your PCV Valve there your find the Blue Solenoid attached behind the lower part of the Airbox. .
  10. Hi Fen , Take your air box out and if you have one it will be behind the air box in the direction of the scuttle panel . The blue solenoid also attaches to a hose from the charcoal canister . I would imagine if you have a pcv valve you’ll have one .
  11. Sure no problem you can contact me via the advert on auto trader . Thanks
  12. Yes pm for details . Thanks
  13. Nice colour is atlas grey , I bet a lot of classics suffer in Ireland, my father who lives in Ballybunion his golf got really rusty After a few years there but his house is over looking the Atlantic . Change of subject, what ever happened To the user Kevin bacon on here as he appears on most old threads .
  14. Great stuff Si thanks for purchasing.
  15. Hi Fen, My Garage is to small for any car mate as have extended inwards to the house for a WC, otherwise the Rado would of took first dibs. Ask Shaun he was in there the other day Rado part hunting.
  16. Hi P how you going mate. If I had a garage that was big enough I would of kept her or if panels were ready available , with the golf you can keep them outside due to part availability and cost. Mate I have one of those intake mufflers the one that you got welded , have good condition second hand and also new . An 8V is quite easy to get hold of but a late big bumper 16V in 3dr in a good colour could take you all year to find one. I had pay 6250 for mine but it will be a 10k car with only 2k spent on her so the maths work on them as well. Had to go up to Newcastle to get mine and I must say the folks were very friendly up there. It took me over a year to find.
  17. Thanks Steve glad you are satisfied with the transaction.
  18. Anyone looking for something that has not yet been mentioned please ask as there are loads of parts not been added yet. Thanks
  19. Used Hella indicator lenses added.
  20. Thanks K993apc for purchasing loom.
  21. Keyo

    Heater matrix

Lets hope its not Topran VW Heritage fav, otherwise it will be Heater Matric armageddon this time next year , tadpoles will be hatching in the footwells of innocent Corrado owners throughout the UK.
  22. Fairplay where did you get the VSR from ? My biggest reason for selling to be honest is I have no garage space for the car and want to preserve her, with no available arch repair kits or front wings these cars need to avoid bad weather most of the time, the Golf I can get a new bonnet £88.. wings £60 etc, with them sort of prices I can just swap out a panel for a few hundred sprayed and its new and should last 10- 15 years. I even purchased some new old stock Hella spot lights for the Golf last night, only £40 for the pair. in my circumstances not having a garage, owning a Golf will be a more less stress free classic car ownership.
  23. Thanks for the kind words JN, this car would of been ideal for you, Magic Black does look evil on a Rado and the red decals compliment the paint, also an original polished manifold with all the engine trims is available with the car, also BBS splits Jubilee.
