  1. Offer the unicorn plenty of carrots and it will shows its mythical self.
  2. Boot lid opening compartment seal is now obsolete, managed to source one of these for a T4 almost identical and no boot leaks after a few months. Very happy it's quite cheap. You can cut the length with a set of kitchen scissors. Comparison picture. Not letting me load picture or link to seal will update another time when the site is operational.
  3. Yep not letting me reply to certain threads when tying to post a link !!
  4. Saw a black corrado at Stealth a few weeks back with some dark grey recaros and they are the bees knees. My my car had front sport seats as an option on the boot sticker but realised all front seats seem to be described as this so my car never came with recaros as I thought it may had .
  5. Could be wrong but couldn't this also lead to a mot fail due to emissions .
  6. Managed to find these obsolete windscreen deflector clips on German ebay. Anyone else found another source or got any to sell ? Use to be o.85p https://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Corrado-Clip-Windschutzscheibe-Verkleidung-Befestigung-535853832A/323836892270?hash=item4b662ed46e:g:KgcAAOSwkRddB7dv Cheers.
  7. I think one of the problems is that most aftermarket parts are going towards manufacturing their parts in China all at the same factory and getting their own brand stamped on the part. Disappointed to hear the Hella temp sender failed would expect better off them. If I have to get an aftermarket part Lemforder is top on my list but parts are thin on the ground now for the Corrado, secondly I will go for Hella, then Febi Bilstein all though I wouldn't be surprised if they manufacture in China now.
  8. Thanks Anna, think VR are missing A TRICK by not finding a partner in Europe could certainly increase their sales considerably. Have samco got the machining to make these seals , might be worth SHOUT.
  9. Thankfully it is the only Topran part I have purchased and wont be giving them another go that's for sure, think I only purchased it as it came with some Meyle hoses and O rings as a kit and couldn't be bothered to source the parts individually .
  10. Hi Anna, Can you ask Vintage rubber in the States to send you some samples over of their various trims and see if you can strike up a partnership, also try and lower their prices with bulk. Many obsolete trims available including window scarpers. http://vintagerubber.com/volkswagen/corrado/ Cheers.
  11. Thanks these sound good I'll treat myself to one of these.
  12. You need an immobiliser in the UK the parts are worth a lot of money from a Corrado. I had a Mk2 golf 16v pinched in minutes. Toad Ai606 is what most folk in the VW classic world seem to go for , it even says on their website your car will not get stolen lol.
  13. Thought I would start this thread so I can share which aftermarket parts have failed on my car that were relatively new and other members can add on. Please note that it is possible I was unlucky and got a bad egg out of the factory. These parts were professionally fitted. Topran oil cooler. Noticed oil in the top of the coolant reservoir after 2 months of been fitted. Was really worried it was the head gasket, after chatting to Vince at stealth he insured me in all his career that he had only seen one blown head gasket that had caused oil in the coolant in a VR6, there was no coolant in the oil if that makes sense. After taking the Topran cooler off and testing it with air pressure in a bucket of water bubbles starting popping out , cooler had failed after 800 miles . Had to flush the coolant system and Install a new cooler a right pain!. This time I went with a Hella cooler and no problem since. Coolant is now clean as a whistle. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HELLA-OEM-Quality-Oil-Cooler-Seal-for-VW-Mk2-Mk3-GTI-16V-T25-T4-068117021B/401070088013?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 New JP GROUP Air Mass Flow Sensor 1193902400 Caused a fault code 00561 mixture adaption , fault code came shortly after installation, car ran rich with poor MPG. Bosch OE Mass sensor cured the problem immediately.
  14. Nice one for the link that is a good price to.
  15. This is the case so Ive put it to rest, however I did notice a missing rear ABS cable holder, thankfully got a couple spare.
  16. Thanks mate have you a link for one. Definitely works on OBD1 technology? Cheers.
  17. Think seller might be a corrado forum member user Tone so mention you are a member on here fellow.
  18. Can you ask this seller to remove the fuel lines for you and sell them to you a lot cheaper stand alone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/283539656548
  19. Got you mate that is a right trek and a half, its about 50 minutes away from me , if I was planning a trip there I would of grabbed you one bud for sure. We need a local off here to start grabbing a few parts and make it their worth while .
  20. Also might be worth looking at other VR6 models like the Passat to see if ones can be still sourced and may be able to modify.
  21. AMOS will have some in Derby mate but your better off going down there as his busy as hell and take a while to post them, or phone up Vince from Stealth I'm sure he will have a solution.
  22. The cloth patterns on the Corrado are pretty dull , that era was pretty gross design, some of the mk3 golf interiors to, they went backwards form great cloth designs in the MK2 golf. I would wait in till a good came along with the leather personally as it's going to cost you a fair bit to get a full leather set.
  23. You want the leather in black , even better the recaros in cloth or leather .
  24. Thanks Im going to pop down Stealth on a Saturday morning at some point, he emailed tonight saying if the light does not show it's ugly head after start up then there is nothing to worry about amd as you mentioned they are probably historic and the V gate is unable to delete them.

    Gearbox clatter

OK it;s just when you said like marbles shaking, that is the exact description I have seen before for a failing timing chain.
