  1. Thanks Si, I've put the old one on now, the new one comes to replace it, I just tightened it in till it set then did a small little turn. It was the switch that threaded right at the top, such a waist but only about £15.00 and at least I got the torque settings for the injector lines, I wonder if the injectors are the same torque as the small banjo bolt that fit on the other end of the injector line from the metering head .
  2. Anyone have the means to print these I will purchase 10 off you . Cheers. Template on here ready to print. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2972169 Or you can buy the set form here. https://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Corrado-Clip-Windschutzscheibe-Verkleidung-Befestigung-535853832A-/323836892270 The member off here that did the cup holders , bet he could knock these up think it was Bourbon.
  3. Thanks mate I'm going to print that off now so I dont blow up my car . Ive just ordered a new white oil switch definitely threaded the new one and it was OE VW , managed to damage £30.00 of sensors x1+ oil switch x1 as they were Buri + OE but at least learnt something today, do not work on my own car lol.
  4. Yes sleeves available but the white clips are not, this one has to be on the 3d print list . there was some on ebay about £50 for 5 I think from Germany and there orange .
  5. Thanks for the advice guys, I should of posted this before fitting them , didn't help my old ones were very old that they took quite a bit of pressure to release and assumed the new ones must be the same . When I fit my new fuel injector lines and start the engine i'll be be examining the engine bay for leaks , knowing my luck it will be like Niagra falls in there. Anyone know what the torque is for the Banjo bolts on the injector lines. Cheers,
  6. I fitted the white oil switch to my Mk2 golf this weekend above the oil cooler , I tightened it then it seemed to loosen a bit and then go to the same tightness again which is pretty sturdy , hope I have not threaded it. Also fitted one of The Buri coolant sensors, the one that the spade ends fit on to on the side of the block KR engine , learning quickly one snapped off whilst tightening , these things are pretty damn fragile but look like a solid nut. Managed to tap an oversized flat head screwdriver into the bit left in the block and it bite enough so I could screw it out, came out in one piece thank god. Had to order a new sensor grrrr ! What would be folks tighten on these , say tighten in till stiff then half a turn ? , am I the only buffon that has snapped one of these ! Another thing is I would get some new female brass spade ends if doing this job as the end of the cables were pretty rotten and the spades literally fell off the end when dislodged with the rotten end of the fragile electric cable. I stripped back and made a nice thresh bit of end cable and put the new spade on.
  7. OK guys I found this one that work and looks pretty good. https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/
  8. Anyone else unable to load up the part diagrams form oempec.com and other free VAG diagram sites. Seems like they had no right to display them and have all been shut down. I feel lost without them trying to source the correct parts for my rado and golf. Anyone know of a free working VAG diagram site. Thanks.

    Vr6 radiator

Top one says in stock , but don't know much about the manufacturer, but is an option and well priced and well rated on the autodoc site. https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/radiator-parts-10203/vw/corrado/corrado-53i/1755-2-9-vr6

    Vr6 radiator

Only real option is a aluminum one off ebay. you have to fabricate some brackets to make it fit. I know this because had this same problem last year. Hella ones are now obsolete. It does cool the car well though.
  11. Try and find out who were the original manufacturer that VW sourced them from. Might of been these guys ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VR6-Hauptlager-Pleuellager-Pleuelschrauben-AS-VW-VR6-R30-R32-Turbo-Glyco/271111972003?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
  12. I renewed all my sensors /switches on my MK2 golf 16V kr recently. Part number 049 919 501 its the same as on the KR engine, I also changed the one at the rear of the block, the 2 pin brown thermal switch(yours will be white) and the two above the oil cooler. They are now obsolete from VW , the best you can get are Beru ST053, Thats if its the three on the right side of the block your after under the distributor. There are other aftermarket ones available but Beru you got to go with IMO. Quality ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beru-ST053-0824121102-Coolant-Water-Temperature-Sensor-Replaces-049-919-501/232847920190?epid=1020846356&hash=item3636d14c3e:g:eXQAAOSwh8NbSNn8
  13. I have a added late big bumper 3dr MK GTI 16V, rainbow cloth in brilliant metallic black to my mini vag collection , would post pics but unable. My experience so far is there are a lot of bad sellers of second hand parts describing as great condition in the MK2 golf world, alot of dicks with crappy cars to be honest. Well just sent my third part back, the kick plate by the drivers accelerator, had a crack and was described as perfect, of course paid double what is was new before it went obsolete, oh the joys. Started to look for some plastic jack covers and to my horror they were selling for £50.00 a pair for some scratched ones !!!! Well refreshingly I stumbled across this company on ebay , they may well be able to manufacture some hard to find Rado plastics. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-2-MK2-BIG-BUMPER-SIDE-SKIRT-JACK-FLAP-90mmX90mm-191853917-SET-2-PCS/174022632474?_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140728113935%26meid%3D609d820712254f7e90c7835db419d42f%26pid%3D100148%26itm%3D174022632474%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2059210&_trksid=p2059210.c100148.m2813
  14. Paid you chap . Thanks again .
  15. Sticking to my guns on this one mate as with the discount I get off heritage and free postage basically the same price and there's is new from the shop with labels and guarantee. Cheers.
  16. Hi John . Immediate payment £35.00 inc postage for the V belt cover ?? Would of emailed you chap but not sure the email is working. Thanks
  17. I had both mine cracked on the top, I think it's when people try and remove the door card that dont know what they are doing and snap them. I can confirm I got hold of a set but took me ages to source a new pair, these are going to be a right bugger in the future to get hold of and make your interior look a bit scruffy, I do believe vintage rubber sell them In the USA but hard to imagine they are any good. Also very expensive.
  18. They can be used as daily but it has come to a time where really it is best to preserve the cars im my opinion. The salt on the roads in the winter just eat the cars alive and rot the wings and and rear arches and suddenly you are looking at a 2-3k body shop bill. Im getting mine to mint then preserving her and use on weekends and in good weather conditions. She lives outside which I don't like but I give her a wash and wax every couple of weeks and have no trees over my drive. Its up to you buddy what ever rocks your boat really.

    Nice little gizmo

Was fed up of having a fire extinguisher in my dashboard and a 10mm spanner in my door card. So thought wouldn't it be great to have a little tool bag in the boot. This arrived today, I can honestly say it is great quality and now lives in my boot permanently and looks the business. Really well made may I add, I offered £13.00 and the seller took it. Feel guilty now as they are hand made and only £20.00 buy it now. The seller only has 52 sells recorded on ebay. I've got a few tools in there and the extinguisher, but there is room for the jack and spanner to. It also has a velcro strip on the bottom but comes with a tape on that so its your choice . Looks even better in the skin and made of an OE looking carpet materiel that looks OE. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-embroidered-car-Boot-Storage-Bag-Organiser-Tools-Breakdown-Travel-Tidy-Case/333311848092?hash=item4d9aef2e9c:g:e9kAAOSwq05daMdk I would take a pic of it in the skin but can't post, seriously guys its mint and cost sod all.

    Nice gauges

Arh the oil gauge that shows you how low your oil is going when you have ovulated cylinders ha ! Can see its for pressure, they look great and very useful ! Here is an interesting site. If you can work your way round it. It is the VDO electronic catalogue. Link below is the parts they still make or have available for the Rado. Even has a traffic light code system , red obsolete, amber to be discontinued be still in stock , green good to go ! Can be a hard site to navigate but has some amazing gauges and also parts like fuel pumps and sensors, solenoids etc. Miss out the middle man VW. VDO is based in Birmingham in the UK and you can order the parts direct with them and they will ship within two days from Germany. 1)Click on this button on the top right button that says Einstellungen 2) select where is say Deutsch and select Englisch (GB) 3) Than press the button to the right Speichern und Schließen You can now enter your details in English. http://ows-cdn.tecdoc.net/vdo/home.jsp#58626f900704e7647b08a66209e98865 Sales Enquiries: 0121 326 1234 No shipping fees from Germany and you do not need a trade account.
  21. By using the parts you could ensure membership fees by luring members who are desperate , you could snag users worldwide and also from different vag brands as they share some of the obsolete parts, otherwise people can just post on FB "anyone know how to do this or get this from". You approach a manufacturer agreement only sell to us.Market it as in house obsolete parts only open to paid members. I'm afraid I expect this forum will not be here this time next year if something dynamic is not done, just like the Mustang forum UK I use to be on, people just use facebook now and the forum closed down earlier this year. For now one step at a time get the pictures sorted on here as a priority.
  22. To gain an influence over Corrado owners you need obsolete parts . Can you not get a list together of 20 parts that can realistically get manufactured, you have to have a live membership to obtain them and have a shop on the forum for members only. This would take a lot of work but would kill two birds with one stone .Just trying to think out of the box. More revenue , more members and parts available that make ownership a little more bearable . There is no way I’m going to join Facebook with posts , look at my cup with a Corrado on it my neighbour gave it me , yawn yawn.
  23. Got to be honest have not even been to have a meeting , I saw a website where you can download plastic 3d parts for the Corrado and can print them straight off a 3d printer. I posted it on here on one of the threads about 3d parts. This site has things like the fuse trim clips and many other obsolete parts. Also there is a firm that has popped up called Dreadnought customs based in the UK , he is making the bonnet soundproofing all ready for the corrado and hard to find parts for Scirocco, I recommend posting any plastic parts to them for recreation as the prices are fair and he seems a hungry new business. He has all ready made things like door scrapers, seals and plastic trims for the Scirocco Mk2 , he seems very competent with a OE quality to his parts . https://dreadnoughtcustoms.co.uk/ I've purchased a Mk Golf 16V so busy sourcing all the new parts for that in my spare car time at the moment as the Corrado is pretty much sorted apart from the body work. Thankfully the site is allowing me to paste a link now but unfortunately It's not allowing me to post pictures, saying not recognising file, was fine before the site had a meltdown but it's still not fully functional so I don't come on here as often.
  24. that does sound premature failure , only working on speed four seems to always be the resistor, I take it there was no signs of water ingress?
