For me I opted for the original 4 Bar VDO pump , Mister auto off ebay is doing them for £160 I think, or you could give that Farmer Johns special a go.
-
Euro carparts advertised as 4 bar but I was suspicious, called Bosch and hey presto no it is 3 bar do not use.
-
Would it be a good venue for a Rado meet up MOO ?
-
Worth every penny good luck in your sale if anyone mentions the mileage tell them its just a number.
-
Will def post a thread on a meet Jayce. I do believe there are quite a lot of Rado owners in the Midlands, there is a Khaki 16V one in my home town and the women always pulls me over and says get your Schrick out lol. Body work Front and rear arches slight bubbling Car park door dings Rear Reg light trim new and spray, also bit of rust in that area Better finish on the under bonnet cutout that was originally cut to allow for the bonnet to close over the Schrick variable manifold. Door hinges because have a bit of sag. Very slight bubbling on internal drivers door sill Here's my motor if you want a butcher J. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?109949-Black-magic-returns-home&highlight=black+magic

Rob I called Bosch about that pump it is 3 bar, no good mate leave alone.

Well lets sort something out but Im looking more like July in till Ive sorted out my body work. Ill post something up in a month or so see if the numbers will gather, and Im sure the facebook crew can pass on the message .
-
I've never been their mate so would like to give it a bash later this year, maybe the Corrado GB members can sort out an open day there for none members as well and do a bit of networking, but primarily to show off the cars to the world . Centrally based in the UK.
-
Yes Rob just the pump if you have the late sender. VW Heritage must of used the VDO sender with their JP pump and sender kit for sale. Not sure why they don't just sell the VDO original set up as you can get it for £191 + Vat and £61 + Vat from VDO HQ Birmingham , this works out cheaper then the JP less quality set up. Rant over.

Saw that Red Rado with the dealer body kit looks a very clean car ! Ive got to sort the body work on mine VR first but I'm based in Birmingham and will be up for a Midlands meet in a couple of months . Anyone been to Caffine and machine in Strattford Upon Avon , my mate has a Harley and he wants me to follow him in the Rado ha. Would be a good central location for a lot of members. https://caffeineandmachine.com/

What 80's - 90s cars for sale have caught your eye recently.

Bloomin hell you wouldn't think this was a replica car if it drove past you . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/porsche-911-convertible-replica/223503443962?hash=item3409d7e7fa:g:vS8AAOSwIQtczKEH&frcectupt=true -
Oil Dipstick Part Number: 021115607 VW HERITAGE PART NUMBER FOR LATE VR6 2.9 Supersession(s): 021115611L MY DIPSTICK HAS THIS PART NUMBER Fits Corrado, Golf, Jetta, Passat 2 people have looked at this part recently Ships Fast From Atlanta, GA DIAGRAMS AND KITS WHAT THIS FITS Clicking these links will change the year of your vehicle selection Volkswagen (VW) Corrado 1991 Volkswagen (VW) Corrado 1.8L G60 1989, 1990 Volkswagen (VW) Corrado 2.8L 6 Cylinder 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 Volkswagen (VW) Golf 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 Volkswagen (VW) Jetta 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 Volkswagen (VW) Passat 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 Looks like the 2.8 and 2.9 share the same dipstick.
-
Yes yours is a S chassis which would be manufactured in 95. What is the part number of the dipstick you have fitted, see my photos above mine also is a S chassis and is red but looks the same as the orange one. I believe the Late dipstick was the same as the Mk3 and other 2.8 VR6 blocks like passat, sharan, so the same for a 2.8 or 2.9 block, however confusingly different part numbers. Just look at the two types for sale on VW Heritage to see the visual difference. I have my engine number on a sticker next to the fuel lines above the aux belt , maybe yours is still there to, however this is only proof that the head is the original part of the engine, the late Vr6 has an engine number stamped on the lower part of engine block and early models on the side I believe. It wont be because you have a Pierberg pump and sender, you need to ask them is is compatible with your VDO sending unit you have spare. Also what bar is it . The thread says you can no longer get a pump for a pierberg sender, correct me if I'm wrong folks but this was addressed many pages ago by Fend.
-
I don't think the JP will fit, he will have to fit the new JP pump with its swirl pot and pop on the VDO sender and hope it fits.
-
Just so you are aware that company is based in Germany but they did deliver my VDO pump within a week to be fair to them , but they can be hit and miss. I would call JP group direct if you can to find out the Bar Pressure, straight out the horses mouth.
-
They have all the special equipment to fault test so makes sense Rob , also I can tell its getting on your nerves so just bite the bullet and get her booked in.
-
Im changing my pump and refurbishing the injectors because of the mixture adaption fault code (exceeding), however mine sometimes stalls reversing uphill from a cold start and sometimes you get a smell of petrol from cold start. All ready checked for vacuum leak changed whole exhaust including manifold, cat and down pipe gaskets that needed doing anyway. Fuel pressure regulator Mass Air Sensor Reckon yours could be the same. JP Pump £32 https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/jp-group/8172201
-
Could have a punt on this says 4 bar. https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/johns/11581546
-
Why not just find out if the JP pump is 4 bar which Heritage advertised as and then install it with your VDO sender, all in £50 or so, from my experience trying other stuff will cost more in the long run.
-
Ok mate just make sure you have road side assistance if your going to have a punt on a £20 pump.
-
Same here had a red Nova 1.3 SR E Reg in 1993 they had a great notchy gearbox , next car in 1996 was a MK2 Golf 16 V H479 UGK black .
