  1. Good pics Fen I think this leaves everyone a clear description of what should be sourced for a Corrado VR6 fuel pump.
  2. Ok thanks the pump I have just ordered form these lot comes with the swirl pot. Came to just under £135.00 plus delivery. Will decide whether I should get a sender which can be purchased off ebay . https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/vdo/1737314 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-VDO-221-833-002-011Z-FUEL-LEVEL-SENDER-VW-WHOLESALE-PRICE-SALE/163183083932?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 I would say the above is the cheapest option for the correct OE set up and also much better value then what VW Heritage offer which is not far off double the price and you would not describe JP Group as a market leading automotive manufacturer if you know what I mean. Thanks for everyone's help .
  3. Is the swirl pot part of the sending unit . Cheers.
  4. Thanks Fen, Would you get the sender to as must be looking pretty tatty I imagine. VW Heritage are selling a aftermarket JP pump and housing for a whopping £350 and you can get the original pump and sender for under £200 wow.
  5. Is it worth getting the sender as well even though I should have the correct one as its a late VR6 1995 model?
  6. Thanks Fen. I've managed to find this but I have used this company before and they have a .co.uk website but take ages to deliver and are in fact based in Germany. Not a bad price for both pump and sender. Im going to see if VDO UK can match their prices as their HQ is located in Birmingham and I can just collect them as they will have to order in from Germany but only two days, also any problems I can just pop them back to them rather then sending back to Germany. Link https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/basket VDO UK also do all the single platform instuments. https://www.vdo.co.uk/meta-navigation/contact/
  7. Right just to confirm I spoke to Bosch earlier and I have returned the pump as it is 3 bar even though Euro car parts advertise it a 4 bar. I believe this is the correct pump ? If so anyone know anywhere to get the same one cheaper. ? Cheers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VDO-Fuel-Pump-4bar-Electric-For-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-E22-041-060Z/312552428227?epid=1416938808&hash=item48c59392c3:g:Jk0AAOSwwJJcoDwx Here is the cheapest place to get the sender that I could find, and good service arrived in a few days. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-VDO-221-833-002-011Z-FUEL-LEVEL-SENDER-VW-WHOLESALE-PRICE-SALE/163183083932?epid=249158734&hash=item25fe78419c:g:dmAAAOSwNSxVW4D6&frcectupt=true
  8. That's a hell of lot of car for the money. You can get a secong hand hardtop for £250 off ebay if you shop about.
  9. The old Saab 900 is one hell of a cool car , really retro interior to . I think with the ulez now live there might be a few bargains to be snapped up in London .
  10. I think these Zender kits are worth a bob or two these days.

Can't say I have but maybe you can be the guinea pig and share your findings on here.
  12. Not really VAG related but thought I would start a new long term thread. Don't see many of these anymore pretty cool with the Zender Kit and SEC bonnet and the monoblock alloys. Are we in agreement this is becoming a cheap cool classic ? What a fantastic engine bay to work in with all that space ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-190E-2-0-Zender-kit/143208080782
  13. Just seen your In Norway so I guess if your out the city centre should be quite safe apart from crashing into a Reindeer ha !
  14. New fuel pump another bit of reliability that's what you need in a Rado ha.
  15. Well be careful chap don't leave your car anywhere vulnerable because I imagine they are quite easy to steal without additional security. I had a MK2 golf 16v nicked in seconds in 1994 and never owned a car since without one. When I purchased the car the seller said it had one and I believed him, I managed to get the car back but the Insurance company refused to pay out because they could see no trace of a immobiliser and I couldn't supply a certificate lesson learnt .
  16. You can purchase a Toad Ai606 Cat 1 immobiliser and Alarm off ebay for a £100 and get if fitted for £120, that's the way I would go on this. My VR6 originally came from Northampton and the dealer fitted a aftermarket Scorpion immobiliser but I changed it out for a Toad for reliability.
  17. Thanks for the info Riot, what I'm asking Bosch, the pump your manufacturing what bar is it, because for a late model VR6 you want a 4 bar.
  18. I will be contacting Bosch tomorrow, just hope they have a definitive answer whether it is indeed a 4 bar.
  19. Agree I want it to be 4 bar. I have fitted a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and the whole point of me doing it is to get the mixture adaption fault code 00561 deleted for good. I was tempted to get the VDO but it was nearly four times the cost. I will ring Bosch on Tuesday and try and get it out of them and post on here, also if it is 4 bar post how it went getting it fitted to a VDO housing.
  20. This is the same pump on ebay from euro carparts but more expensive and says bar 4 on description, I have been on the Bosch product site and it doesn't even mention the bar on the spec sheet for some reason so I have took my reference from them but purchased cheaper off OPIE oils, hope Euro C have got the description correct ha ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Electric-Fuel-Pump-VW-Vento-Transporter-Caravelle-Sharan-Skoda-Seat-Ford/332569407508?epid=249253361&hash=item4d6eae7014:g:1IAAAOSwBJNbVjnf Cross reference details FORD 1028808, 1047280, 95VW 9H307 AC, 96VW 9H307 AA PIERBURG 7.21981.50.0, 7.21981.55.0 SEAT 1H0 919 651 H, 1H0 919 651 N, 1H0 919 651 P, 1H0 919 651 Q SKODA 6U0 919 051 B, 6U0 919 051 C VDO E22-041-056Z, E22-041-059Z, E22-041-060Z VW 1H0 919 054 AK, 1H0 919 054 J, 1H0 919 651 H, 1H0 919 651 N, 1H0 919 651 P, 1H0 919 651 Q, 6U0 919 051 B, 6U0 919 051 C
  21. Thanks Fen, On ebay it does not state that it is 4 bar but I investigated further and it is indeed a 4 bar pump apparently, hopefully it will work with the housing , it also has a few extra fittings , VDO is the way forward though agreed.
  22. Is it a stock anti roll bar. If its red it will be a a Eibach one and you can still buy the bush kit from Eibach.
  23. Great stuff TD, I'll make a note and check the clamp ring is fitted that sounds a unfortunate you had a leak. Not the most pleasant job for Stealth not me ha ! If it makes you feel better I cahnged a fuel pressure regulator on my drive and did not have the clip lodged on properly, turned the car over and got petrol ****ed all over my driveway . Grrr. Cheers.
  24. The Bosch pump does come with a bit of a kit and a couple of hoses, like you mentioned its all down to is it compatible with the other fittings in the tank, so I was wondering if anyone had fitted this pump to a late VR6 and had success.I will be changing it because of the fault codes, we have pretty much eliminated everything else apart from the injectors which are also getting done. Could always be a rogue bit of wiring to though I imagine. Fitting instructions https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/xlist/80/0986580823IN00WHCOB900.pdf Cheers.
