  1. Thanks GER040. Have to be honest I have never driven a VR6 without one as it's my first ever VR6, my older VW's have been from the Golf MK2,4,7 GTI range. I would say plenty of low down torque and pick up , there is actually a trader in Birmingham that has several of these as he use to import cars from Germany but he wont let them go for no money or kind words .
  2. Black Magic VR6 Shrick VGI After several weeks my car has returned from Stealth Racing in Southam Warwickshire. The car has still got some body work to finish off but has now completed it's suspension, subframe, engine and interior renovation Last owner a year before I purchased the car had fitted a new Aluminum radiator and heater matrix, also had a spray job 4 years previous. Timing chains seals and guides at a VW specialist down South 2 months before purchase. New battery, upgraded headlight loom, new passat sunroof, spoiler fully operational. Lupo wipers. The works carried over the last 6 months by myself and Stealth. Orignal air box souced from Amos, radiator warning trim panel. 3. What you have to remember chap is that classic cars are a smaller market then mainstream cars, also I beleive people are actually still recovering costs from black friday , manic maonday, christmas ha ! It dont matter if they are not the original seats thay are sort after .
  4. I dealt it well sell quickly as his asking a lot with the high mileage, the aficionado collectors are not going to pay top money with that sort of mileage . Even though it could be in better condition then a low mileage one silly really. Does your contact Fen know of any other red Rallye in Ireland ? I had a Northern Ireland registration on that came on a 911 996 . It was pretty cool it came with SEZ 996S. Sold it on with car.
  5. Once it crossed down south it might of been converted to a Republic of Ireland Registration therefore no longer part of the UK MOT scheme . It’s also possible that it has been shipped over to Europe or even sitting in a farmers barn collecting dust . Somehow you would need to know the current registration plate. Or if someone knows a owner of a red rallye in Ireland bound to be only a couple at most . Amazingly most of the Rallye panels are still available, also with the negative of left hand drive I think if you really wanted one you could do well to get a RHD shell and pop a R32 engine in and purcahse the body panels. maybe get away with more 12 k but the selling on value might not be great and also minus four wheel drive of course.
  6. I think the seller might of had to spend a amall fortune on it as they say on advert "relationship has runs it's course", the car is divorcing him ha!! It was one to keep Ger, is your old Rallye still on the road / in the UK ?
  7. Humm this is nice !! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-MK2-Golf-Rallye-G60/123720973446?hash=item1cce583c86:g:FUkAAOSwwjhcpNRK
  8. What oil are you using if it's too thick could greatly increase the sound of the tappets.
  9. On the diagram 16 it relates also to Automatic but has a different part number must have four branches and manual has three branches .
  10. I wonder if the electric seats still move , got to be the best looking seats for the Rado. Does anyone know what option this was as you have the Reacaro cloth seats or what seat options were available ?? They are oringinal from factory ? interesting thread. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?38393-Electric-recaro-trim-options These may well be the same seats in the car. Think they were only suppield on left hookers. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?82350-Genuine-Corrado-Electric-Half-Leather-Recaros-Price-Reduced https://petrolicious.com/articles/a-teenage-dream-realized-restored-1991-volkswagen-corrado-now-boasts-vr6-power
  11. No 16 on the diagram Fen. Coolant pump/Thermo stat. It is on the right lower side of the engine bay. What I don't understand is on the diagram there looks like there is four branches coming off it but the part only has three. Maybe the four branch is the automatic version. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/121/subcategory/21050/part_id/0/lang/e
  12. Ahh the spaghetti coolant pipe, great glad your making that I don't have a spare unforunatley but mine is looking very tatty and feels perished .
  13. Not necessarily several things faulty but you might have to change several parts to iliminate the fault or even one could cure it, just depends how lucky you are. Start off with the cheapest.
  14. It's worth travelling or shipping with that interior you can see the owner really looked after this car. The ABS light could just be a sensor. It's in Northen Ireland so part of the UK so not to much hasstle in my opinion. See if you get the op to get it serviced and running and MOT , or hire a trailer and get the ferry. This car is woth spending money on , good mileage, colour and looks unlmolested I would go for this if I was on the hunt for one as long as it was accident free,Looks like it might of had the front callipers upgraded.
  15. The limited edition interior, mileage, body colour will sell this car for you mate, best of luck with sale I didn't even know recaro did the seats in cloth and leather fantastic.
  16. Good luck with this I'm sure youll get there ! Pictures work great you sussed it !
  17. Handy company for hard to find obselete seals based in the USA. Is an option. http://vintagerubber.com/volkswagen/corrado/
  18. Ok I think the problem is you can only load a certain size memory picture, if you send a picture to your tablet by email with your phone and it will give you a choice of size well it does on a iphone, choose small or medium. I take a picture with my iphone then email as a small picture to my laptop and save the picture on my laptop. Then on the message reply on Corrado net I click the photo button third from the right with tree, then the pop up I choose file(picture), once loaded and shown in pop up I press upload files. The key is must be a small picture. If you know how to take a picture on a small memory then you cn use your phone to upload on the full site version and not have to bother with that email nonsense.
  19. Ok thanks , it might be cheaper to buy a 20k one if they have been sitting by the time you hava got them right.
  20. Jared have you still got the contact of the S4 for 11k ? Cheers.
