This looks promising, but I bet your "things to do" list gets a lot bigger though.
-
Yes,100% mate, I had to do the same thing.
-
Nearly all replacement brake Master cylinders are 4 port, just use a blanking plug for the ports not required.
-
The shaft is more commonly known as the "intermediate shaft" which drives the oil pump. VEEDUBBED has covered the procedure to tackle the job, and the oil seal is easily available.
-
The thread size for the G60 front brake bleed nip is a metric fine M10 X 1mm

Just seen these.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/863VAG1418BJ-GENUINE-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-ACCESSORY-CARPET-MATS-/182449657697?hash=item2a7ad8d761:g:rsoAAOSwmtJXYRq1

Looks like you will have busy times ahead.. good luck with your project
-
That's quite a transformation.. looks like they did a great job.
-
I will pop along to this, isn't to far from me either.
-
Only just seen this, I have one complete with full length wiring harness, analogue launch control with slip control adjuster unit, and the all important comms lead, PM me if your still interested.

This may help those with a Wagner replica or genuine Golf G60/ Rallye intercooler... http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fmic_fitment_guide.html I think either the G60 Golf or the Rallye version is easier to fit on a Corrado, but I cant remember which.
-
I believe its only an issue in fitting the ABF engine if your car has the early style bonnet and your going to be using the original intake manifold.
-
This looks like what I need for a spot of winter maintenance as well ... thanks for the link
-
As far as I know you can only use Rallye pistons in the Rallye block due to their smaller size..

I have ARP undercut studs on my Corrado G60 which is running 9.25:1 compression ratio with no problems. The theory behind undercut studs is that they offer a higher clamping pressure when torqued up correctly, so in your case these are the ones I would go for, but it’s only going to be good as the quality of the gasket you’re using and the condition of the head and block mating surfaces.
-
Glad you got it all sorted in the end.
-
Check your alternator, mine had a rattle like yours and in my case it turned out to be the alternator... use the old "screwdriver as a stethoscope" trick to pinpoint it.
-
Just wondering where you got your lamin-x from as I'm thinking of doing mine after seeing yours.
-
Looking very nice... have you got anymore info on your Lamin-x front end
-
A picture paints a thousand words plus I'm not that great at explaining these things in words, but This is how I did mine except I did not use a OEM top mount rubber or bearing.
-
I also did this conversion on my early G60, all the same as you but the upper top plates I used are 357 412 319B with Meyle HD VR6 rubber top mounts and a Bilstein B12 kit which have the large 105mm dia springs and fits on the 1H0 412 341 spring plate.
-
I don't think the Bilstein B12 kit issues are unique to the VR6, I have a 1991 corrado G60 and have the B12 kit No 46-190093, the rear spring Numbers on mine are 24-015530 and I had to cut the bumpstops to stop it looking like a crop sprayer, the front numbers are 35-003878 these seem ok. I have had no real issues with the cut bumpstops just one incident with a speedbump at a local carpark with a passenger in the back, probably my fault for not slowing down enough :(
-
I will take the G60 ISV please
-
I've had mine Since 2003... Inca blue G60
