  1. That's looks great, its always good to see a well turned out G60
  2. The stud conversion works great, comes into its own when putting the wheels back on, its best to loctite the studs in the hub though.
  3. I will check for the part numbers, But the stub axle I used was for a Polo 9N not 6N2, but the Hub was a Polo 6N2
  4. I did this as I was fed up with adjusting the bearings after every MOT when I was given either an advisory or failure on worn rear wheel bearings which weren't but just needed adjusting In short this mod eliminates the stupid taper bearing and castle nut adjustment, easier disc change, a much better handbrake and a slightly better braking performance.. the best bit its all from the VAG parts bin or euro car parts etc except I believe the Lupo caliper carrier is no longer available. Rear Brake components stripped from rear axle. Lupo back plate and Polo 9N stub axle in position. Polo 4 stud rear hub.. this was modified with a golf front ABS ring for traction control. Mk2 golf 16v 256mm front vented disc and a MK4 anniversary caliper bracket, The wheel stud conversion also on the fronts makes putting on wheels much easier. A Seat Cupra R caliper completes the conversion. This is my 4th year running like this with zero problems with passing MOT or braking performance. I'm looking into to using G60 280mm front discs with adjustable brake bias.. of course that is just purely for cosmetic reasons for filling 17in rims.
  5. Thanks. Yes the engine is very non standard.. more on that later.
  6. Thought it was about time I started a thread on my car which I have owned since 2004 This is how it looked back then prior to me doing any mods.. The current spec now is as follows Front Discs, Seat Ibiza cupra R 1.8 Turbo 305mm Front Calipers, Porsche Boxster 986 / 996 Brembo S Front Brake Calipers C2 Rear Discs, VW late 16v front 256mm discs. Rear Calipers, Seat Leon Cupra R 1.8 (for vented discs) OZ Polaris wheels finished in Anthracite grey Wheel Stud Conversion Front mount intercooler Audi TT wishbone rear bushes + front polyflex bushes on wishbones Bilstein B12 suspension with Meyle HD VR6 top mounts Inpro angel eye front headlamps Red/smoke rear light clusters Racelogic traction control (removed in 2016) Audi TT large wish bone bushes Polyflex small wish bone bushes Vibratec front engine mount Integrated Engineering under car surge tank with Bosch 044 fuel pump I will update this further with pics of the mods etc in the coming days...
  7. For rust prevention Dinitrol products are a good choice
  8. Nice tidy I/C and oil cooler install Oli
  9. Good write up, looks like a good quality hose.
  10. Its only the water ways around the block that is different, but in practice any 8V 1.8 or 2L block will do, but remember the PG block has oil squirters and has a slightly higher flow oil pump, so if using a normal 1.8 block with the PG oil pump you may get higher than normal oil pressure that could potentially blow the charger oil seals.
  11. If these are a exact copy of the originals where do I sign up for a set ? ..oh and the current price please, PM me the details if you cant put any on here please Christian.
  12. Christian.. do you still have any kits left for an early Corrado G60 1991
  13. This looks promising, but I bet your "things to do" list gets a lot bigger though.
  14. Yes,100% mate, I had to do the same thing.
  15. Nearly all replacement brake Master cylinders are 4 port, just use a blanking plug for the ports not required.
  16. The shaft is more commonly known as the "intermediate shaft" which drives the oil pump. VEEDUBBED has covered the procedure to tackle the job, and the oil seal is easily available.
  17. The thread size for the G60 front brake bleed nip is a metric fine M10 X 1mm
  18. Just seen these.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/863VAG1418BJ-GENUINE-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-ACCESSORY-CARPET-MATS-/182449657697?hash=item2a7ad8d761:g:rsoAAOSwmtJXYRq1
  19. Looks like you will have busy times ahead.. good luck with your project

    Racelogic TC

Only just seen this, I have one complete with full length wiring harness, analogue launch control with slip control adjuster unit, and the all important comms lead, PM me if your still interested.
  23. This may help those with a Wagner replica or genuine Golf G60/ Rallye intercooler... http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fmic_fitment_guide.html I think either the G60 Golf or the Rallye version is easier to fit on a Corrado, but I cant remember which.
  24. I believe its only an issue in fitting the ABF engine if your car has the early style bonnet and your going to be using the original intake manifold.
  25. This looks like what I need for a spot of winter maintenance as well ... thanks for the link
