  1. Yep, you found them before me! Cheers mate
  2. Thanks mate! Yes I do like the 226 a lot but I too wasn't sure about the writing... They look a lot like it for sure! Cheers
  3. Well, I just read all of it! It was very interesting to read it and to see all the process that went into it. I started reading because you had Schmidt ML which I want and got sucked in the story of your car lol. Nice work, but no updates in years, what happened? You bought a house or something ha ha! Cheers
  4. Finally home and got the chance to see your pictures in full size. Astonishing work mate! Happy for you. Are you still working on it? I'm seriously thinking of deleting the abs system as well. So sourcing the parts were the though parts? Thinking of redoing the brake lines like you've done, never did that but it looks like with some patience its totally doable! I'll be following your next steps mate. Cheers
  5. Yes thank you for bringing that one up, I enjoyed reading too. I didn't even know about the VSR until then... Very nice piece! Cheers
  6. Those pictures are super nice! It's nice to see so many Corrado side by side. What are those wheels on the N333PPP car? Very inspiring! Cheers
  7. Interested in doing this swap as well. Not the first time I'm reading about this being a nice improvement. I'll read more about it and keep an eye on this thread for sure. Cheers, JF
  8. Omg, I'm speechless... Absolutely stunning! This is the ultimate restoration and I'm getting inspired by you thank you! I'm travelling right now and just on my phone, can't wait to see all your pictures on my computer. Couple of questions? Your setup is without abs right? What about power steering? And that gold foil, where did you get that? At Mclaren or what ;) keep up the good work, wish I was in the UK... Cheers mate
  9. Sorry to be back with this again, I never paid that much attention to wheels before... So I have a friend in Japan right now that can send me a set of wheels... Looking on the auction, I found some very nice BBS RG-F that are 5x100, et35. So this time the "problem" is the center bore is 70mm. So my question is, if I was going to buy 5x100 hubcentric spacers with 70 center bore would that fix the problem? Thanks again! Edit, I found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wheels-Hub-Centric-Rings-Aluminium-Alloy-OD-70-1-mm-to-ID-57-1-mm-One-Set/321735515430?hash=item4ae8ee5d26:g:2ngAAOSwtgxdmsNs
  10. Just read your whole thread, fantastic work mate, way to go! Curious to see the end result as well! Cheers
  11. You can get heritage of eBay as well... Those rear badges are on there offered by heritage. My silver Corrado has the rear badge sprayed by PO, but I can tell for sure the logo used to be chrome, not sure about the background...
  12. Ok thanks guys. So in my case though, once I remove enough materials to make it to 57.1 I should not need anything else other than new head bolts probably and a set of spacers because they're et48. Something like 20mm rear and 10mm front should do it.
  13. Thanks for your reply, you know I haven't seen that, that way, but it's true not so much to remove... You haven't felt any unbalanced with the wheels after? Do you have the same ones that are on the link I posted? Do you happen to know if Subaru's used ball lug nuts like VW for their wheels or you had to change them?
  14. Oh I though you were selling me yours just kidding! I think so mate, I'll check locally or on ebay I think I'm gonna go for them and have them powder coated light grey with silver lip. Should look sharp on my silver Corrado! Cheers!
  15. Oh I'm sure they look good! But it's starting to e too much work and money involved to make it happen. If the rims were super cheap it would maybe make sense but they are not cheap to start with... Thanks for your reply!
  16. They look fantastic mate! Thanks for all that great info. I may start looking to get these, I like the straight fit and oem look. Cheers and have a good weekend!
  17. Thanks Keyo for the suggestion. I personally like the BBS RX but they are rare to find as well. Still in the used market though. Too bad that wheel sizes changed so much over the years, looking for new ones they're all in the 18/19/20 sizes now... The hunt continues I guess!
  18. Yes they are Subaru's! I did noticed the offset at 48et but like you said with spacers it would have been fine. The center bore though, I'm not sure I want to play with that... That's too bad, they are fantastic and light. It's these ones I was thinking about, I would have done a silver powder coat: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2774070
  19. Okay, thanks again Sean! That's too bad, they were so nice. I'm not having a good luck with wheels it looks like!
  20. Sorry guys for asking another wheel question... In my quest to find a replacement for the schmidt I tumbled across a set of JDM BBS wheels that looks very similar to the LM's but in 16". LM's have always been my all time favorite but I don't want to run 17". Anyways to come back to the subject the wheels have a center bore of 56mm and the Corrado has 57.1mm, does that mean they wouldn't fit? I'm thinking they won't but would like to confirm with the pros :thumbleft: Thanks again cheers
  21. Well Tunershop do not carry Schmidt wheels anymore so my free shipping to Canada is gone and Schmidt are asking 360 Euros to ship a set which is way too much considering the wheels cost new, shipping, duty and exchange. Only way would be to find a set of used ones or finding something else... You know when your mind is set on something, it will be "hard" to find something else!
  22. Sure is useful thanks! I had one bookmarked but this one is WAY better. Cheers!
  23. Thanks again. Yes I've read the post, informative! BBS LM and Schmmidt ML are my 2 favorite. If the LM's were made in 16" that would be it for me! Roads are pretty bad where I live and I think I should stick to 16" unfortunately. Cheers mate
  24. Thank you that made me understand clearly, much appreciated. I guess the other thing that confused me was in the title, seems like it's for a VR6 and not for a VR6 swap... Thanks to all for your time and explanation, you guys are awesome. Cheers and good day!
  25. Hydro clutch swap? What does that mean? Cheers and thank you! https://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Golf-2-Corrado-Passat-B3-35i-bracket-Kit-Hydro-clutch-swap-02A-02S-02J/183983264435?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D3db10f587ee740a5a2dbc1a52d3e5095%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D8%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D310877544218%26itm%3D183983264435%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A6d3a21ec-31d6-11ea-9002-74dbd1805c72%7Cparentrq%3A8397cc7916f0aa48c3ee316cffcbef66%7Ciid%3A1
