  1. Imagine how much it would worth now, £1500 ha! Mine has the standard ones I think, and like every one they are both cracked! Got replacement lens for them though. I knew I would get some fisherman to talk with my reel analogy! Yes Daiwa in japan, very nice stuff as well!
  2. The car came with European plate tub so I had to buy one for NA. I feel like carbon fiber is such a nice complement to the silver color of the car. I was nice to install something on it too!
  3. So I spent about 3 days in total cleaning up the engine bay! Toothbrush action! So glad it's done though, I wanted to do that since I bough the car. Both axle drive shaft boots were busted, mess was all over! It's about 90% completed. I also installed the under bonnet insulation. That was a mess to clean up too... Here, that's what it looks like now!
  4. Thanks to all 3 of you, your expertise is much appreciated! I'm not sure if we had that Ford model here? I'll check it out, otherwise, ebay. But Keyo, like you I was thinking when washing the engine bay (I had lots of time) I was wondering if I could use a shrink wrap? Obviously with the right diameter to cover it, like 2 or 3 on top of each other. What do you think of that idea? Otherwise yes like you said I could probably cut it and see if it's still possible to install it. Cheers to you guys
  5. Did any of you ran into this part being ripped like this? Part is 021 129 101A and it looks like it's obsolete... Any ideas? I quick search let me found that Ford 736 4573 would work but I'm not sure I want a Ford parts in there!
  6. Oh ya, both those units a very nice indeed! Good choice, I do like best the one you got stolen, sorry! I didn't thought people were still stealing that kind of thing, seriously! Alright time for me to get back into my engine bay cleaning! Cheers
  7. I agree with you fendervg, I like to keep things simple too with sound system. I like the sound of the engine too much to crank the music anyways. I think what you've done of bang on. I have bought a set of infinity kappa 6-1/2 combo with twitters for my truck that I can't install because my doors are too thin. I was thinking of installing them on the Corrado but it's way too big for it. On another note, that's about the comment from ger040 about blaupunkt. In my previous mk2 16v, I went all out with blaupunkt to keep it somewhat oem/era. I had problems with the stereo unit, problem with the speakers. All I had was problems to be honest, disappointing. I've been told that with blaupunkt its better to buy the top of the line or nothing... Hell, they sell blaupunkt at Walmart now, pretty much all they sell... So next unit for the Corrado will be the blaupunkt Bremen sqr46 when it drops in price ha ha. Cheers
  8. Yeah looks fantastic and oem. I figured about that amount of time, if you want to do it right that's what is involved time wise. I will be curious to hear from you how much of a better sound quality you get. Did you do something up front as well? BTW, thanks for the write up on the handles as well, Im sure I'll have to do this in the future... Cheers mate
  9. Yes I did wanted a solid base to start with. I want to keep it for life! I'm happy with standard things, the less you have the less will break...
  10. Wow you did a fine job fitting these mate! I know the mk2 is just compressed wood with carpet wrapped around it... How long did it took you to do the modification? Cheers
  11. Nice work! I was going to suggest scrubbing with a white 3M pad but you got it out already! Are you installing a mk4 metal head gasket?
  12. Thanks mate! I was patient for almost 3 years before I put my hands on it! But eh, I was dreaming of one for 19 years so I could wait for the right one... Feels and looks like if the car was barely 5 years old!
  13. They look grey on the picture but they whole interior is black.
  14. I agree with you, should have been all the same. On such a small run of cars why going out having so much different options! Thank you once again for explaining this to me!
  15. My seats are manual not electric which I'm happy about! They are just black!
  16. I think that might be it. Someone imported it from Germany because he wanted one. Just like I've done with my truck. Like we said they like their cars, they like special things and what's better than a LHD in a RHD country? So that might be just it too. I think if they had money to import it, they could afford whatever. You now I paid 16000 for it and here I could get one for 5-7000 so yeah it's not cheap to go that route..
  17. No way, US got electric seat belt and mine are manual just like in Europe, Canada and Japan I guess. Plus they never got the ABV like Keyo mentioned. I'm positive it's from Germany. It is LHD here and we have a lot of RHD car, as a mater of a fact I own a RHD truck
  18. I hear you mate, same for me since I turned 40 four years ago I have the same eyesight issue. But because I'm ESL, I thought maybe it was a new word ha ha. What's so special about my gauges anyways? No, like I said at the beginning of my thread it's a LHD. I think they were imported straight from Germany. I have NEVER seen a RHD Corrado for sale on the Japanese auction and I've been looking for almost 3 years.
  19. Thanks Shaun, alright here it is:
  20. Keyo, I don't have the front grill anymore... I got rid of it as I bought a new one from heritage 3 months ago... Excuse my ignorance but what is a cunny hole? Sorry!
  21. Ha ha I see you get my point! I did read it's very easy to swap the passenger side air bag for the glove box, it's pretty much straight bolt on and the glove box is not expensive to buy either... And ya, I would much rather have the standard steering wheel as well. That I haven't looked into yet. There's another debate in my mind as well wondering if I should keep that oem proper to the year or not? Never thought I would have that much debates with myself when I bought it lol. Welcome to the Corrado world I guess ha ha! Cheers mate
  22. Thanks mate to educate me, much appreciated. To be honest I would have preferred no air bags... I rather the non air bags steering wheel and would prefer a glove box instead of the passenger airbag...
  23. Thanks for checking it out! I do have air con for now, I want to remove it as I never use this, gives me a migraine... There's two air bags in the car and my understanding is it's standard on 95 models? So your ABS light is different?
