  1. 25yr , 3+ ncd , no convicts , TPFT only, business, alloys £go away - More Than £1000 - CIS £990 - Churchill £750 - Direct Line £690 - Hastings £450 (less than) - Norwich Union Direct STILL A RIP-OFF
  2. Love the interior , biege leather contrast well with the black (which is still black). Has it now sold?
  3. Classic - but i find i get carried away with a toothbrush and the plastic can mark the alloy, so gently does it. Looks like PREVENTION is the key as Kev says, thanks fella. Where do you get the Swissol? Getting these rims clean first will be hard work, dont think they hav a laquer. The BBS (going on this/next weekend) are though - although some of its peeling off. Kev you mentioned a place that does refurbs (in another thread), where are they?
  4. What do you find is best for cleaning your Alloys? I use warm soap & water, but a couple weeks of cold weather meant I was too much of a wuss to clean them, and now the brake dust dont wanna come off in a hurry - are there products out there worth buying? Does anyone use a cleaning tool for fiddly wheels such as multispokes (bbs etc)? - hardly technical i know
  5. In your face looser bloke. Nice one ! It does seem the rado gets plenty of long glances etc, but you also get the comments. Just this week the lad in the petrol station said "is that a scirocco.... or, erm, or possibly a corrado? , you can tweak em to hell cant yu!?" "somthing like that fella, cheers". Im amazed at how many young women stare at the car on my way into work - maybe they're just wondering why a kids driving a car (being so short an all)

    MPG

Do you care what it says? Mine is out , saying 25mpg, when im getting 29. Just work it out when you fill-up, and ensure you're not getting those silly figures. Then maybe you could pursue the mfa problem.
  7. Thanks mate ;) , yeh, bout time i did, as iv had it for ages, say 4,000mile. In all fairness, cannot rely upon previous owners though. Maybe if it doesnt go after that I will be back to ask again.
  8. Not bad indeed. But: 1. What make/model are the tyres? 2. Do you plan to use you current nuts? (excuse the phrase) Only that if your current nuts have a conical head (this just gets worse) and these new wheels may have Cone head taper. Just a thought, you may need to shell out an extra £60 for a set of nuts (including locking). 3. Whats the offset & PCD ? - I thought you had a 2.0 16v = 4x100pcd ? These look like 5 stud. Ask the seller !!!
  9. Im getting a horrible spluttering, juddering, not-clean pull at 2.5k revs ; but anything before and after is perfectly clean. Why? :?: Im guessing somthing to do with requireing a bit of a service huh? Im going to check the plugs, but before I go chasing this thing, you guys may just tell me its a common easily solved problem. Im going to do a basic service soon anyway, oil, filter, air-filter, check plugs (ignoring the frequent checks of fluid levels, tyres, etc). Thats about it.... what else should I be doing?
  10. Cheers lads. Maybe I didnt see the speed rating, will look again. Britannia dont do the sp9000; and Im after them cos I've already got one bran-spanker. Blackcircles seem ok if i were to go to 524 Stoney Stanton rd. Or I may just go with topgear, cheaper via post.
  11. Very Smart 8) I love the leather interior.... that it, i want a storm vr6. Gotta say the grey dsh looks naff - but i can say that cos mine is too ,
  12. Can anyone confirm what the letter 'Z' means, and does it matter? I thought it was a speed rating, ie z = over 149. I have one sp9000 195/50/15 R , but no Z on it ; does it matter if I were to buy a Z rated tyre to sit on the opposite wheel?
  13. Cheers Kev, seems postage is only £2, making it £58. Im fitting them next weekend, I've got one, so need a pair. Onto my BBS, along with a new fitment of my Bilstiens too; fingers crossed. Cant wait. Glad you say they're good rubber ; Im not a huge fan of these Toyos.
  14. Does anyone know wheres best to buy cheapest tyres from (web based or West Mids)? I need: Dunlop 195/50/15 sp 9000 Shame Mytyres.com doesnt do them :(
  15. Have fun Jim ; Im sure it will be a quite relaxed , wollowy ride. How does it feel sat high up there? lol See you about fella £6,000 - ouch! My friends Mk4 with a hefty 84k is looking for £5500 ono and I told him that was over priced. I'd rather a rado vr6 for a tad more.
  16. Autocavan used to do stainless replacements for £50. Not sure if they're still available since GSF bought them out though. £50 is cheap. We go ours done somewhere towards Stoke-on-Trent for nearer £90 from memory.
  17. Tempests looks a goodun , that 900 will be negotiable, as i saw many roccos cheap last year, eg a mint cond green with low miles for £600. PARTS - note that VAG (VW) are also cheap. No matter where you go, you will find Light clusters expensive. Make sure the electric headup works ££.
  18. Nobody uses the Bilsteins then?
  19. Try giving some of these boys som luvin: http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/233.htm http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/15842.htm http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/15843.htm http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/16022.htm http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/15921.htm And does 182 do so well? - are there Volvo-flat-caps using this site?
  20. oh dear - me too Jim I was on an av 9.4 lastnight, to only find im down to a 6.4 ; there must have been a lotta 1's from those Rude Boy Chavs. What'ya gonna do. nevermind, atleast VW are still top; very tidy 16007 (007 - cool); Gixer still rulse - must be those rolling hills, ;) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/16008.htm (no more sabotage pls)
  21. Blue rado, B3 M... , liked the clear rear cluster, easing down the middle of (pedestrianised) New St - Birmingham
  22. The Escort Cossie, side on, does look fat & plain. Note that htere are a million Fords on there, half with a cossie engine. Check out the old skool escort boys too. huh. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/16008.htm
  23. GIXER TOP ? - wikied !! ------- 10 http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/16008.htm
  24. Got to dissagree - Roundabouts are about the only part of a boring road like A46 that becomes interesting, and allows you to blast past everything. However you've gotta be ultra careful about people getting the wrong lane, straight-lining, etc. Its also found in a Euro country (sweeden or somthing) that accidents were drastically reduced when all junctions were made into Roundabouts. Stuck in Cov - sorry to hear that. As for pot-holes, i tend to miss them; two reasons: 1 - on the bike you'd be off and into a hedge/tree, 2 - its a rough enough ride as it is, passengers often complain, so my eagle eyes keep a lookout. It really gets me ; those moms in thier 4x4s taking the kids to school, as they mindlessly wizz over the humps, and almost straight over you too. (oh dear, what could that hav been, its ruined my application of mascara).
