  1. Great work bud!! Sorry about last weekend, day went nowhere near according to plan ending up with me dropping my brother back to peehead way later than planned! Looks like you're coming on great though, will shout next time i'm your way.
  2. Volkswagen GOLF (MK5) S TDI DPF 2007 VW Golf Mk5 Estate 1.9 TDI S MOT: 12 months Mileage: 149850 History: Some stamps missing, Cambelt etc changed at 149k. HPI clean with printout. Last summer I found out we were expecting a baby, so sold my S4 for a sensible family car. I'd had a mk4 estate before, so the mk5 was a natural progression. I found this car in Cardiff and had set my mind on it staying standard. I found a set of KW Street Comfort coilovers and due to the ride quality, justified the purchase! Of course, I then needed to fit different wheels, so sent a set of Porsche twists I had in the garage off for refurbishment and then fitted them at the same time as the coilovers. Shortly after, the car started running really badly. It turns out the mk5's have the same 'chocolate' camshaft as the 150 mk4's, so this was replaced and the cambelt/waterpump was changed also. I recently had issues with the ASV, so this has been replaced with a new one too. It's now driving perfectly. Externally, there are a few marks on the bodywork, but nothing significant. I am happy to email photo's over on request. Internally, the car is in great shape, without the sort of wear to the seats you might expect from the mileage. All the miles were done in the first few years, so I'm guessing motorway miles. The car is currently on Mercedes 18x8" multispokes, with 215/35 tyres. The Porsche Twists are 18x7.5 Fronts, with 215/35 tyres, 18x9 Rears, with 225/40 tyres. The car can be on either set of wheels at asking price, your choice. I'm selling because I'm going to buy a Golf Plus for my wife and use her car instead. This would be the only thing I'm really interested in as a PX, but if you have something to get rid off, feel free to try me if the price is reasonable. Price is ?4500 and I'm in Bristol for viewing/test drive. 3. Just saw this pop up on FB.. Okay the front lights look MASSIVE, but I don't think it's too bad as a modern interpretation!
  4. Any reason you specifically want that one? There's been a few good blackberries for sale recently!
  5. Did this back then.. heres the thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=40617
  6. Saw a 300 today! Can't remember the last time I saw a Rado..
  7. different circumstances i'd own them by now.. a year or two ago or in a year or two's time. At the moment my bargain hunting skills are tied up in the supermarket baby isles
  8. Wow. The black one is by far the best oem car in the country. Surprised/saddened it's not priced higher tbh.
  9. Price is fair/good. budgeting £250 for lips and £150 for new caps if you were fussy thats a great set of 16's for £1300ish.. Cant go wrong!
  10. ha.. yeah i'm not helped by the fact I rent a garage with no electric about a mile from home. If it was home it'd be easier to slip out and tinker. I'm planning on moving in the next year or two, but rent costs for the garage start meaning it's hard to justify storage for so long. Thanks mate, that's very kind. As above, plans would be keep for a couple of years longer, then make a start once i have more time on my hands. That being said, I want another kid asap so i could be waiting a while! Link your friend to this thread, let them see what's available.. if it's of interest, tell them im open to conversations.
  11. I love these cars. I've always been a fan of estates, so an estate Corrado is the ultimate! One came up [from memory the one on borbets] for sale some years ago in Germany and the price was surprisingly low. [around 3k euros from memory.] I was very very tempted to head out and drive it home and very much regret the fact I didn't!
  12. Okay, so to come clean.. I bought the car last feb and had it flat bedded back to bristol. It took place of a mk2 project I have that needed some engine work. I agreed a deal with a mate where he would get the mk2 sorted for me, so I could sell it to raise fund to finish this car. Since then a few things have and haven't happened. The mk2 is still sat in the friends yard untouched. :mad2: With storage and delivery costs the Rado now owes me nearly double the purchase price. I've realised the car needs far more expertise than I have in order to finish it. I've had a daughter and lost all my spare time and interest in car stuff. Doug is an exceptionally talented guy and to finish the car the way he had started it would involve a hell of a lot of learning or a hell of a lot of money. My recent thoughts have been readvertise it and see what I could get back, or semi break/semi restore into a new direction. Realistically this would involve firstly fitting a factory or aftermarket ECU and harness etc to get it running properly, then working out a plan for the interior - either sourcing a full storm spec interior and going in the direction of an OEM style R32 storm or stripping a lot back and going weekend/track monster. Either option for finishing the car is still going to be a few grand whatever happens and I don't currently have the funds or inclination to do so. At the moment this is just general midnight rambling, I really don't know what comes next, but as the questions been asked, there's a sort of answer! Baz
  13. I'll find out tomorrow how much of a movement Omega replace. My stepfather used to have movements sent to him from Omega to service and return. Mechanical only though, I have a feeling they may replace the whole movement on Quartz, other brands definitely do.
  14. No probs, would be good to have you over - we need to catch up!
  15. have loads of screws and other bits in the garage, pop over whenever you like! BS15..
  16. I might have just the thing.. I'll take some photos when im next up the garage. Good to see you back!
  17. n3p.. Cheers bud. I had one of the first green bezel subs in the UK. Bought it trade before I left goldsmiths for £1650.. Sold for 3k the next day. Lovely raise at the time, but kick myself when I see prices now!
  18. Ergh.. I'm on the Amazon boycott - shop local!
  19. I privately 'rent' a garage from someone I work with. I say 'rent' as she refuses to take any money from me. She came into work the other day though and said she's sold her house and is moving in a couple of weeks. I have no idea where i'll store 2 years of 'stuff' yet, but it'll be fun working it out!
  20. If it was sent from Amazon I would definitely keep them. I hate Amazon with a passion, so wouldn't feel bad int he slightest. If it was a private seller/small business on Amazon marketplace, I'd send back without question.
  21. yay! Watch thread! Daily and show.. My stepdad is arguably the best watch repairer in the country, (watchworks) so watches have become a bit of a vice for me too. Back to OP, my recommendations would be an Omega or Vintage Heuer [pre TAG], whatever you can find in budget[depending how far you're willing to stretch the budget ]
  22. what were you thinking! move the sofa forward a foot, wrap a massive box in christmas wrapping paper with a label with her name and put it behind the sofa to fill the void. tell the mrs everything has to stay like this till christmas. gives you enough time to sort the floor and think up a gift suitable to put in the box? i'd suggest some old sheets for next time..
  23. okay bud, i'll look into shipping costs, unless you want to sort your end and let me know when courier is arriving?
