  1. I've been trying to find time to get round smto sorting these, but so much on at the moment.. Take the one above to keep you going, there will be more but not for a good couple of months!
  2. You want a PDF version to keep you going? Pm me email address if it helps!
  3. Bit too far for me to collect mate! Offers there if it doesn't sell.
  4. Something that needs engine work or bodywork?
  5. To put a slight dampener on things, the lhd & rhd versions are not mirror images. The curves on both sets are very different!
  6. As title, searching for a g60 engine, whos got what? Must be reasonable driving distance from Bristol or able to courier. Thanks Baz
  7. Ask a silly question and all that.. I have a set of 315cc injectors but haven't yet sourced a chip as the cars undergoing some minor works and until I've resovled issues and had it running a while I'm not sure how far I'm going with other tuning. [fmic, pulley size etc] If I fit the injectors with the standard chip, what'll happen? I don't really want to pay out now for a map on current spec and then find I want to make other changes over the summer!
  8. We [nearly] bought a house through purple bricks and the experience was absolutely shocking. The house went on the market for a decent enough price and brought in plenty of viewings.. On the open day, everyone was left to wander as they pleased whilst the agent sat in the living room on the phone. Not something i'd fancy if selling! We made an offer, which was accepted. This could only be done online, in a sort of bidding format. To not have the vendors response to my offer, just a green or red box come up to tell me if it was accepted felt very unpersonal. As the sale was proceeding, there was literally no input from purple bricks as the agent or their conveyors. every single quiery, question, push along etc was from my selling agent or myself. I didnt have asingle phone call after offer accepted. As we got about two weeks away from completion, my conveyor told me there had been an issue raised with subsidance. This could have all been dealt with so much quicker had the vendor used high street agents and conveyors. We pulled out, too far down the line not to proceed with the sale of my own property. I then had two weeks to find a rental property so as not to be out on the street! I'm not saying this is all down to them, but you get what you pay for. I negotiated a 1% including vat deal on selling my place and the agents couldn't have done more to earn their money. Great service, property photos, detail, contact, viewings and a designated sales progresser. Purple bricks want their upfront fee and then really couldnt care less if you sell.. it's a business model destined to fail, but a great short term earner whilst people fall into the trap.
  9. as dox said, look out for VR6 etc, much easier to source!
  10. Cool, sounds promising. Once I've got an idea what I can do I'll start my own thread. I'm pretty certain I can sort black with no issues at all, other colours may take more work as I'd need to find someone who produces a matching colour.. if it's not spot on we're going with black only!
  11. Hopefully mate, I'm still keen to make a version to a higher standard than these, its just knowing the market woud be there for a well finished product and having the time to do it! I put a fair amount of effort into the last lot, only to fall short of the numbers needed to produce something decent. Hopefully enough time's passed now that the market will be there!
  12. Argh! Still need to find plastics for this.. will get on it!
  13. Hmm.. that gets me into the realms of spending copious amounts of money! Good to fall back on though cheers!
  14. One bearing is very worn, and engine clattering - big end knock I guess. It doesn't sound healthy on idle and horrendous at 2k revs. Currently just have sump off, so no access to small end bearings etc. It looks like we've found the problem so will go with big end, if that doesn't solve it, it'd be engine out for full overhaul. stretch bolts are for con rods, probably no use to you but I sourced them from 'micksgarage' febi bilstein 02124. I've bought the nuts from heritage. Couldn't do half a job of half a job!
  15. Technical one above my head i'm afraid.. Conrod bearings need replacing in a G60, mechanic is asking for 'standard' diameter & tolerence of crank where it's covered by the bearing? Possibly something someone with a Bentley manual would know? There are different size bearings listed - 'standard' +.25, +.50, +.75 I'm guessing the thicker ones are for worn cranks? But without crank or bearing diameters how the hell do I know if I don't need standard ones? Next Q.. Been reading a bit about the bolts being 'two use' stretch bolts. Gonna replace them anyway and have found a source for them. But the nuts are obsolete and seem difficult to find. Can they be reused? Otherwise, it's off to classic parts at £5 a nut and a lengthy wait. Hopefully I've given someone enough info to go on! Cheers Baz
  16. Whip off the dash speaker covers bud, shoud be a tweeter in there.. if you've got a full sized speaker thats a first!
  17. Keep this thread updated or pm me if you have no luck.. ive got a feeling i have a few spare windows, but would need to check.
  18. Hmm.. wonder how many days hire it would take to swap out the engine :bonk:
  19. Its really difficult to tell from the advert exactly what state the car is currently in and what needs doing? It is running? has it been turned over regularly? Has it been MOT'd since it was taken off the road? Would it pass one in its current state? Would it drive back or need to be trailered? Is it just in need of cosmetic/paint repairs? More info would certainly help!
