Fair play Pete, you talk a lot of sense and if people could get their heads around the idea of 'the corrado club' I think that'd most certainly be the best way forward. Personally, I think a lot depends on the current owner of the forum and whether a merger/takeover is something they'd consider. Without knowing the monetary value of each entity it's difficult to know what's even possible, but fresh life and the social media useage you put forward just has to be the way to progress. I follow VR6OC on FB and do see updates probably daily, especially links to adverts which will draw interest as well as incentivising people to place adverts [at a cost? im unsure?] The CCGB seems to be a closed circle of "we like standard cars!" CF seems to be "we kind of like everyone but OEM+ please" and they're not a million miles from each other. Fit air ride or lower your car too much though and both can come across as "f**K off to E38!".. which I did. :thumbleft:

what an absolute bloody legend Easypops is! I needed a set of calipers asap, he removed his from his car over the weekend and got them posted out straight away, refusing payment until they arrived! It's also testiment to the wider forum that people feel able to do this, so thank you everybody else!

When the one with borbets came up at 3k Euros I was working out the logistics of getting to Germany. Going to the US and paying that mch is not quite the same! *kicks self*

I've tried a number of things over the years, proper branded stuff, peanut butter, heateing plastics, the lot. Someone recommended linseed oil and I gave it a go. It's not the definative answer and there are better products out there, but bang for buck it was pretty impressive!

It's hard to value based on the description to be honest.. If it's been maintained and loved in it's time off the road and previous mot shows no/minor advisories, it could be easy to clean up & mot without big issues and be worth good money. If it's been sat up to rot and got worse over the years and would now fail an mot miserably it's worth the sum of its parts. If it were me, i'd put it through an mot and see what it fails on. For £30 odd quid you could gain hundreds in potential value.
