VR6 South, do the relays go into a relay plate rather than wires? If so check the new relay has the same pin positions as the old as I have seen some that are different...
-
No worries

No Worries...

X just means exchange - thats the one you want about £25 The is a T shaped bolt that does thru the spare hole in the pump and into the lower cambelt cover but you don't need to remove the cover.... I think there is a metal gaurd between the pump and the intermediate shaft pulley that you have to be careful you don't distort (this can happen with pattern waterpumps as the casting is not as exact) VW parts have a 2 year warranty - when you say it's gone how do you know?? be interesting to see how it's failed...

It's 12v 5W with a glass base that just pushes into the holder IIRC

Welcome to the forum... The signal passes thru the tweeters to the door speakers so worth checking the connections to the tweets and then tracing the wires back to the head unit...
-
Check fuses first...

Yep thats the one, 2 x 10mm bolys, 11mm union to flexi pipe and use an eezibleed kit to bleed the new one.

More liekely to be the slave if both original as the slave has a metal sleave which corrodes epsecially if fluid not changed regualrly and also if you change the master you want to do the slave too as its cheap in comparison... VAG slaves were made by ATE of FAG (which GSF sell) Look for fluid leaks on top of the gearbox but they leak internally at first and you don't tend to notice any drop in fluid level until it gets worse...

They should be able to find the code on dialogue.... You may also find that a copied key is fine as when they copy the profile the edges become sharpe again (depends how badly worn it is) Corrado's use AH profile keys and they used to copy them for free but my dealer doesn't even have the machine anymore to cut!

May be a voltage ragulator from what I have read but not sure about replacement....
-
Buy genuine ones - they don't break and will stay on the seat! They are also sided (to the seat ie inner and outer) so you need 2 of each... if you also clean the runners and regrease the seats will slide like new!

Yeah - plug near rear engine mount...
-
Yeah - Cheapo maplin relays seem really good - they sell them on the shelf 'automotive relay' for about £2

Welcome to the forum! Fairly sure you should be matching the block and using a 9A one as you will have bigger pistons to the KR

Unplug the O2 sensor
-
Yeah - fraid so, looking like new handle time!
-
Have you got ABS? - when the system primes you feel it thru the peddles..
-
Test - if you unplug the 'C' connector... put a wire into the plug which goes to the brown lead (into the loom not to handle) and short it to either of the other 2 wires in the plug, the CL should lock / unlock depending on which is which... if this works then the fault is on the handle side of things...
-
Hello mate - just got your PM - sorry I don''t think I made myself very clear above... Ok, the CL is working fine from the pass side so as far as the whole system goes it is working, the problem you have is with the drivers side door lock not switching the CL open / closed etc... There is a switch inside the handle that may be the fault but it's more likely to the the wires corroded and shorting that go into the handle (I think they plug in but when you buy a new handle they come already attached...) On your drawing the wires from the handle go to plug 'C' - red, brown and black... 'B' is the CL soleniod that attaches to the air system and lifts rod 'A' - thats working fine as far as I can tell...

Here you go, I got it ready...
-
The rear carrier ones don't have anything on them Yan, I have a new set from VW here in the bag....
-
I don't think you will find them in Halfords Yan, they are fairly specific with that thread pitch... also no threadlock on them... I was told the stuff you see on the front bolts (that come with pads) is not threadlock either - it's an anti-seize compound...
-
Yep always replace those Bolts (VW dealers will have in stock)- Irwin Bolt Grippers make an easy job of getting them off if rounded...
