  1. Right, just had a look and seem to have got it... Plugged the black wire with green plug in next to the other green plugs and the grey one I plugged in with the bank of blue plugs - I think these are illumination but could not tell in daylight - both locations are ignition switched lives... With the switches on I am now getting 12v ish to pin 5 on both plugs... Heard no relay clicks but front seats are not in circuit yet and I think they will need to be as there is a thermostat near the elements I think... Checking the heated elements you should get about 1ohm resistance on each, thats why the power wire is so small!
  2. I think I understand that pic now after looking at my fusebox and a couple of blank spaces... (was sure I downloaded it before and it was tooo blurry to see) http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 058#651058
  3. Ah cool - I understand that pic now (didn't a week ago when I first looked at it)
  4. The loom has those plugs attached - it's just where they go...
  5. Chris G will know - I PM'd him but he's not been on here for a while... Hopefully see him at the AGM!
  6. I know - I even have a guide to reading wiring diagrams but can't can't get my head round it....
  7. It's the physical fusebox location thats needed tho Bill - any idea where it plugs in?
  8. chrishill, no, this is the T FSI engine not the TSI - fooking good powerplant tho and won INTERNATIONAL ENGINE OF THE YEAR 2007!!! This should be fantastic - 400 miles on the clock FFS, someone had a bad day!
  9. Ah ok - they will most likely be the originals tho.. so 10 years
  10. Think Auto really are useless... Are you deleting the Heat exchanger? If so, The bit I think you need (Darren will confirm) is the Oil filter thread off a mk1 (without the HE) - get this from VW along with the 2 MK1 water pipes too if yoou've not got these already...
  11. VW will have a full set... They are not the best design and bare in mind that yours may be 16 years old!!!
  12. Nice one - Yeah they take the weight well...
  13. Looks like a CRX - ie rice...
  14. Ah no - I'm talking about the G60 front ones... ignore my ramblings...
  15. Really? - mine came in a small box with boots with captive nuts, bolts and a silver sachet...
  16. Yip, the VW kits come with a sachet of the correct lucas grease...
  17. The MK3 ones are the same and as Toad says they are not available seperatly from VW... they've probably given you fronts or something...
  18. Did you check it for damage? - how did they move it?
  19. High pitch? - release bearing i'm afraid... To change it thats a clutch change really but it may be fine for a while, just annoying... If it goes away with the clutch only very slightly depressed then you may want to mod the pedal slightly or stick a cable tie around the stop...
  20. PhatVR6, it's the later stages of a mid life crisis... 1 being building a VR turbo, 2 being blowing a new engine and 3 - getting bored of people moaning about mods you did 3 years ago and not letting on until later in the thread that the engine is running increased CR!... Seriously tho I think this thread is pointless and maybe worrying buyers from the recent group buy for no reason - these manifolds make a huge difference to torque and imo make the VR6 the engine it should have been as VW wanted before the accountants stepped in.
  21. nocrap, I think you call that a 'Muftie'
  22. Check the boots between the door and body, wires maybe shorting on the chassis and moving when you open / close...

    No Pagid FR!

Yeah, annoying isn't it - don't buy the replacement 'Mintex Extreme', there are a number of us having problems with these at the moment and they cannot be used with VW discs (something I wasn't told when I bought them! I think Ferodo DS2500 is the pad of choice for reasonable fast road price...
